Mya wide doesn't fit right

Hey guys I just got a couple of the Mya wides and they work awesome when they don't fall out of my hookah. Has anyone else had this problem?? If you did how did you fix it? I thought about maybe sanding the part that fits in the hookah down, but I want to save that for a last resort.

Are they too large or too small? If they are too large, take a gasket off. If they are too small, add a gasket. Unless I'm missing the point.

The mya wide hose didn't fit with my 32" egyptian eaither. I took the gasket off, which worked like a charm, sort of. The end recieved a nasty dent in it.I'm not a big fan of the Mya gaskets. They seem to thin to last a very long time. I've had two rip on me already.

wrap the end of the hose in a couple layers of duct tape. that should snug it up. its worked for me in place of a grommet many times. also protects the wood

Its too large. I use it with a gasket and if the hose is moved in a certain way the end will just fall out of the hookah. I will try just jamming it in with no gasket, but will that create a nice seal?

Try wrapping some cloth or paper towel around the end--something thinner than the gasket but enough to form a seal.

That would be hard considering hwo thin the Mya gaskets are.

Electrical tape may also work; seems a little more grippy on the outside than duct tape and it also stretches out nicely.

true. ive had good experiences with duct though. electrical tape should work fine.

For my Mya wide hose I use a Mya bowl grommet, placed in the hose stem prior to inserting the hose. I've had it fall out maybe two or three times, but as long as the grommet and all connections are dry or wet with water (or in other words, not slimy with shisha juice) it stays in just fine.

Do you have a QT or a hookah with flexible grommets? If so, just pull out the grommet and stretch it across the end of the hose and put it in..At least that's what I do

i know my QT doenst have a problem with the mya wide. What i do is when i insert it i keep turning it right for it stuck.

What can I say? This gives you a reason to buy a new hookah.

Duct tape is too sticky, leaves a residue and slips too easily. I much prefer electrical tape...the friction of the tape surface is excellent. Anything is better than athletic tape. Wet towels promote corrosion, even in brass pipes. I have a hookah that has had the taper destroyed 3/4 of the way because my friend who gave it to me used to put a wet towel around it to seal it.
