Amazing Coal Lighter Or Overpriced Junk

Recommended Posts

So apprently the guys at shishavac have made a new burner

H-S promoted it through their email and HC email.

Now being an owner of a shishavac. I have 2 complaints about it... The noise and the crappy way it lights natural coals.

Now this is infared and not coil...like the shisha vac.

Would you really try it for $70???

Funniest thing I see is the way they carry the coals in the carrier used to light them....traveling coals... giant slits in the bottom.... no way that could pose a problem. None of my Coal Carriers have slits or holes in the bottom for a reason.

COALS are ready in 5 minutes go check out a review on it from youtube

I'd buy a coil burner for 15$ and wait  7-9 min lol or if i wanna go crazy i'd pay 20-25$ for a butane camping stove

Refill the butane as often as you would have to change bulbs lol

Now that a little conversation has started here is my take.

I am half tempted and here is why.

Coco coals take 8-10 minutes to light. That's something I always accepted. I am dropping $25 about once a year on a new coil burner (I use my stove, they light better than the stand alone ones).

My dad bought me an IR Grill for my birthday. Holy crap that thing cooks evenly and FAST! Medium Cooked New York Strips in about 6 minutes. Brats... as fast as I can cover the grill I have to start taking them off.

IR Technology is very impressive! If the replacement parts are cheep it might be an amazing long term investment, But where I am not I can drop that kind of money.

Personally If it was in the 40-50 range I think it would do much better on the market, but as it sits now the price is just too hight for a burner.

I can buy 5 coil burners for the cost of 1 of these, sooooooo................ My coil burners last me a year on the average, by the way.  So yeah, i'm thinking I'll stick with my coil burners.

i was tempted to buy one for the lounge, and contact them for whole sale but they only sell by case :( i dont wanna case i want one to try lol. but for lighting more coals our double coal burner likes to use a LOT of electricty and kill the outlet lol. idk just more out of curiosity i guess then true purpose

If you get a case, maybe we could set up a personal group buy kinda thing (if the pricing is good enough)

I could see these being very useful in a lounge situation, and the company markets them pretty well, but for at home use, I dunno.

I'd love to own it, but for no extra charges I can just use my electric stove which works pretty fast.

That being said, this is a super nifty looking gadget, not to mention I tip my hat towards their video production! High quality.
