SpiritWolf
Okay about 2 months or so ago my hookahs I owned were stolen from my storage shed. Do not worry the guy who stole them is spending time in jail. Anywho I have had money issues as of late so I was forced to buy a mya but it just isn't cutting it. I have made a plan to buy a new hookah. Basically I want to ask your opinion on what should my next hookah be. I got an idea of what I am looking for but I want your opinion. KnightHawk63
What are you looking for in a hookah? What kind of draw? I would go Turk or Syrian personally.
frenchyfam
If you are on a budget hope Leo A is the route, personally after owning many different hookahs you really can't go wrong with a km ...those things are worriors
frenchyfam
Go wrong with a km either**** but if on a budget if suggest the hope
mustang67n
Honestly. Mya hookahs are solid pipes, If you're having issues with it, It's possibly your bowl/hose giving you issues, not the pipe. I'd suggest looking into a new hose and bowl to go with the Mya rather than a whole new rig. You'd save money, and be able to save up for the pipe of your dreams rather than settling because you're low on funds atm. that being said. What sort of pipes do you like, as fat as aesthetics go? that would give us a better idea of what brand or style you may prefer
Pavo21
i love my myas :) like mustang said if ur having issues its probably a leak with bowl or hoses. let us know and maybe we can point you in a better direction.
SpiritWolf
The style of hookah I am looking is well any kind of hookah. I do not hate many. I am open minded
Pavo21
what kind of mya do you have and what bowl and hose also? And mya and Km is pretty much all around great. km is fairly cheap and lasts for ever, mya is in the middle with price but also if something ever goes wrong all is replaceable and has pretty good quality. My stetup minus coal and tobacco is a mya qt and depending on tobacco I smoke I use an egyptian, phunnel, or a vortex. Been smoking AF here lately because that is what my cousin gets me. I use to make my own tobaccos. As for the hose the mya hose I set aside for af mint. As for my go to hose in my situation I have been using a hose I made, that or a nuhose/fancy hose. mattarios2
For open draw go egyptian: khalil mamoon, magdy zidan, etc. For medium to semi tight draw go turkish or Mya: elmas, tokel, etc (bigger elmas pipes have more restriction than smaller elmas pipes). For tight draw go Syrian: nour, nawras etc.
A Sharrp SYBIAN
For open draw go egyptian: khalil mamoon, magdy zidan, etc. For medium to semi tight draw go turkish or Mya: elmas, tokel, etc (bigger elmas pipes have more restriction than smaller elmas pipes). For tight draw go Syrian: nour, nawras etc. Syrians aren't that tight. they're more medium it actually varies on the pipe you get. The big Nour 6B i used to have had the widest draw of any pipe i owned. Syrians are all off the charts. It depends on the size of the ports. Plus Syrians look awesome. As do turks! My Mya mini is the most restrictive pipe i currently own.. still not a bad smoker but restrictive nonetheless. Also my main knock on Mya is they can't purge for shit! lol otherwise if i ever go chinese again i'm only buying a Mya! If i were you i'd just go for something brass or nickel plated brass. SO that leaves Turks or Syrians. :-P Problem w syrians now is all the best ones are gone! there are a few little nours left. For a small pipe go syrian. for something bigger go turkish or shika or farida or even the new Leo Hope models (they look badass) Edited October 13, 2013 by A Sharrp SYBIAN
mattarios2
Generally Syrian style pipes have a restrictive draw man. Even KM's vary if you wanna get that detailed. My Kamanja is slightly tighter than my og tri metal and tri metal mashal.
SpiritWolf
Actually the hookahs I had stolen was Syrian hookahs but do to issues in Syria I can't find the ones I use to own. My Al Nawras are irreplaceable. I do miss them. I just wish I could find a vendor with real syrian hookahs.

Cloud-Hookah
Seriously I use both a Mya QT (for portability) and a KM both work great. Your main problem is probably just the cheap mya hose. Just grab a cheap disposable and I swear its like night and day as far as restriction goes. Also just a side note, if your smoking AF a clay bowl tends to give much more flavor then a phunnel or vortex, I really only use my phunnel for really juicy shisha like starbuzz or tanqiers. joytron
If you want a new pipe just because you would like something larger and nicer I get where you are coming from. On the other hand if you really feel performance is lacking, getting a new pipe is not going to help.
mustang67n
^ what jess said. I miss my Mya QT. I had one for a few years and It was amazing! Those QT's will give you the same results you can get from any other pipe (smoke density, flavor, and smoothness of smoke). If you're looking to upgrade, because you want something that has more style to it, Then I'd definitely do some research on some different brands and styles, and pick one that you really like. KM, MZ, and The smaller model Nakhla pipes are all great if you like the Egyptian look. As mentioned above they tend to have the widest, most unrestricted draw. Tokel, and Elmas are a couple of the Turkish pipes on the US market, they are a bit pricey, but they are definitely unique. Solid brass, very high quality and cool detail in the "etchings". Syrians, as you already know, are absolutely gorgeous. From my experience the two Elmas pipes I've smoked had more restrictive draws than the syrians I have. So bear that in mind if it makes a difference to you. Syrians, as you said, are definitely hard to find right now, but there are always private sellers looking to get a few bucks so keep an eye out on the trades sections. (if you don't mind a used pipe)

Yea that 400$ Nawras is an option but way to pricy there are some legit Syrians on Ebay i Saw the Nour 38B on there and a couple other nours. for like 99 each. Of course its Not a Nawras on a boho but Nours are very nice well made hookahs. and you save 300$ Also I don't like how 5star is taking advantage of the rarity of the crosshatch spear. It If he used to sell it for 200 a few months ago he should sell it for 299 on a boho, not 400. I particularly always liked this Nour here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/26-classic-Syrian-Hookah-Authentic-Quality-Syrian-Nargila-Shisha-26-Hooka-/221281561325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338568aaed I had the gold version of this which i bought a few years back from 5 star. I sold it and will always miss it but if you know where to look there still around. This particular Nour has a fairly open draw though. A Sharrp SYBIAN
sorry it's not the 38b its the 34B that i posted i like the 34b more it is a little heavier than the 38 and has a bit of a better crosshatch design pattern. Anyways get em before they sell out this guy on ebay has only 1 or 2 left he had 8 of them a few days ago. If you don't mind me asking What happened to your old Nawras pipes? If the guy who stole them was arrested. were they ever recovered or tracked down? Im sorry this happened. I had 1 of my old MZ pipes stolen cause i left it on my porch i mean i have an outdoor cabinit with a lock for shit. I left it in there and someone broke the lock. This was years ago. Now i keep all hookahs in my house at all times! If someone steals either of my syrians i'd lose it. lol Edited October 14, 2013 by A Sharrp SYBIAN
Chreees
IMO, Mya Saray hookahs have a slighly tighter draw than my Syrians (which both happen to be Al Nawras brand). I owned one Syrian that seemed to be about the same as a Mya in terms of restriction. For a new hookah, I'd suggest getting something that is affordable and appeals to you. For an Egyptian, there's Khalil Mamoon, Farida, and a couple other brands. Syrian, good luck finding a nice once. There is actually one for sale that looks very nice in the Trades section on here. Excellent price, too. I'd jump on it if I were you and you're looking to have another Syrian. Turkish, be prepared to whip out the cash. Cheapest price I've found for a good Turk has been getting a Tokel off of eBay. A seller named turkeysonline (Bora, really friendly and helpful guy) has them, along with other "generic" Turks. Elmas obviously is another option, but generally more expensive option. Then there's Mya Saray, if you want a good quality mass-produced pipe, but seeing as you already have one, I'm sure you're looking for something a little more... traditional. :)

When he found out how much they was worth after he scrapped them he was pissed because he now has a felony on his record. I made sure he sayed in jail. Any who it will be fine yea I still get upset but I wrote them off as a loss a painful loss but a loss.
A Sharrp SYBIAN
That is just cruel. who would steal that and sell it for scrap metal? Those look way to valuable for that. plus they are like 2-4 lbs you wouldnt get more than 5$ for it lol what an idiot.... Scrap metal? That is an insult to injury. well like i said there are still some nice nours on ebay. and maybe more nawras will start getting "found" in warehouses and vendors will start selling them.
