Hookah Manufacturers

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of a good hookah equipment manufacturer in the US? California would be even better.

I have found a lot of wholesalers and distributors but seems like all the parts are made overseas.

A related question is anyone know of any companies that can do private label for the shisha?

Thanks folks!

as far as I know, at this point. There aren't any US made hookahs (regal for some reason pops into head, but i don't think that's true)

what do you mean, private labels? any graphics company should be able to make labels for tobacco. I think that's what you mean, at least.

Yeah, I believe Regal is the only actual hookah company that makes theirs in the US. There's companies like HoboHookah, but their hookahs are still made in China, even though the people who created it live in the States I believe. This is common for most products you see today.

I can design up a graphic... I am a graphic designer afterall.

Anyway, it would be nice to see more hookah stuff made in the good ol' USofA. I bet right now the biggest hookah-related manufacturing (not retail sellers) business based in the US is Tangiers, but they only make hookah tobacco and hookah bowls currently (occasionally other products, such as limited edition hose tips and whatnot). I would say Starbuzz is the biggest, but a little birdy told me they moved their operations to Egypt. Not sure if that's true or not. If not then obviously they're the biggest manufacturer in the US, if their stuff is even still manufactured here... Other companies such as Social Smoke come to mind, but I am unsure of where their products are manufactured. I know there was a factory down in Texas at one time, but again, unsure if they're still there, as it's been a good few years since they were introduced and invited certain folks in the industry (including our own Mushrat) to visit their facilities.

There's a place here in Colorado (and in Waco, Texas) called 40 Thieves and they produce their own hoses and even their own shisha (Big Head Shisha, 100% recommend if you guys are ever in or around Waco, Colorado Springs, and Littleton).

I think you'll be very hard-pressed to find US manufactured hookahs as it is relatively still new in the States and far from an American tradition. Regal also IS in Colorado but it is seriously expensive.

From their FB, I reckon they moved from Cali to Las Vegas, NV

Oh shit, I totally forgot about Santino! Shame on me... :( It's been a busy week, sorry.

I don't mean their corporate office, I mean their actual production facilities. But like I said, it was just a little birdy...

Not here, no. I'm sure there are companies like that in Egypt and other countries over in the Middle East that do.

And sinces there none in the US now your looking at import tariffs on tobacco and your state local tobacco tax,...

they'll probably want a min buy of a container to private label the collection and ship it out... then marketing your new product line so it can sell...

Sounds like to big of a headache for me.

I ran into this off the chat board. Just a quick update on the Big Head Tobacco, I'm really glad you like it. That brand is a private-label of Hooked on Hookah here in Colorado Springs. You are in luck, we do have a private label option for your business. Please feel free to pm me with the details of what you are trying to do in California. Hope this answers some questions for you guys. Happy smokes everyone  :D!

Oh! I thought it was exclusively a 40 Thieves thing. Speaking of which, I actually e-mailed you guys a few hours ago about bus routes haha.

It's amazing, I have the cinnamon flavor. My friend's favorite cinnamon shisha was Fantasia's Diablo until we tried Big Head and he said BHT puts Diablo to shame haha.

Hey there, hookedonhookah. Glad to see you representing here. I frequent the Boulder location. Good stuff. When you gonna set something up in ghetto old Aurora here? /winkwinknudgenudge. This area of town is desolate for hookah bars now.

fai0607, I just ran out of my 250 of cinnamon. We also had pumpkin. The two are stellar together.

I do not think Waco manufacturers any of the Big Head products. They only have 1 Big Head hose in the lounge and only use Big Head Mint shisha (everything else is SB and AF).

But I would like to get my hands on a Big Head hose. Chuck (Waco) said I could only buy one online, but after sending a few emails, I haven't heard anything back.
