Review of Tangier's new bowl

Recommended Posts

As I'm writing this, I'm smoking my QT, with Tangier's new bowl. In it, I have some Blackberry Starbuzz. I must say, it is a quality smoke, a quality bowl. The bowl is very sturdy, I absolutely love the glossed inside of the bowl, my water is not red with juice. Simply an excellent bowl. I don't have a digital camera to take pics, but I think everyone can picture it mentally. I'm also using broken-up 3 Kings, about 1 and 1/2.Smoke quality is high.Puffy, white clouds of smoke. I've been smoking for close to a half hour, and I'll probably be smoking for some time after I finish this post.Tangiers, bravo.-yoner

Very wide, much wider than a regular Mya bowl. As to a wind cover....I'm not sure. I purchased a wind cover from Mya, I think it was designed (probably, obviously) for a Mya bowl. As for windcovers from other Hookah sites, I can't say for sure. Not only is it wide, but it is also very tall. You would need a very tall and slightly wider wind cover.-yoner

Another thought, if a wind cover that big was made, I would have to use a different dish than the standard that came with the QT. Maybe a dish/wind cover combo? Doubtful, but just an idea.-yoner

Well, I think that it's size is the same as a tangiers bowl... in which case, I don't believe that the wind covers from Social Smoke can fit... unless you put something on the ashtray for the cover to sit on

If you talented rednecks come up with something, definitely share. Everyone seems to be buying Tangiers bowls and I suspect that most standard wind covers don't fit. I've gotten by without the wind cover with little trouble but feel that it helps get the bowl warmed up more quickly--leave it on for the first 5 minutes or so and then take it off--that was what I did until I got my new bowl.

I'm going to be getting my package which includes the new bowl tomorrow (hopefully ), so it'd be nice not have to do much experimentation since it sounds like you had a successful experience.

Don't blame me...I designed them to be perfect...I can't help that the guy putting the handles on the coffee cans picked too small of cans! Glad its working for ya, Yoner.Go to Home Depot/Lowes/Home Base/etc. and get an adjustible air duct elbow, 3 or 4", whatever will fit on your tray. There are 4 joints. Each one rotates which allows you to alter the amount of bend that it has...works real good as a wind screen.

Now, that's some redneck engineering--and Tangiers isn't even a redneck--as far as I know.I haven't had an opportunity to take my hookah outside yet but I'll definitely keep the duct work idea around for when the opportunity arises.
people think when I walk in somewhere that I'm there to break a pool cue over someone's head.
That rumor only started after you did. You'll hear from my lawyer  I'm sure my pain and suffering suit will hold up in court.
] sounds great, i think ill get one. How wide is it though? could i fit a windcover over it?
I can fit my windscreen over it and i have taj windscreens so it will fit inside any standard large windscreen for sure.
