aronparsons
Setup:Mya QT, Mya hose, Mya clay bowl, foil, 1.5 3 Kings Quicklights (33mm) + .5 after 30 minutes---------------------------------------------------------------------Layalina ColaAppearance: Red in color, somewhat wet. Not very many stems. Medium cut.Smell: A generic cola smell. If I had to pick a brand, I'd say maybe RC (nothing like Coca-Cola).Taste: A solid cola flavor, not too overpowering. Flavor dropped towards the end of the session.Smoke: Average. Not a smoke screen effect, but not wispy either.Buzz: None detected.Overall: I'll finish the 50g off, but won't buy again. This was the first cola flavor I tried just to say I have tried one.Layalina StrawberryAppearance: Red in color. Very wet. Not very many stems. Medium cut.Smell: Smelled like a strawberry Fruit Rollup.Taste: Tasted like it smelled. Lasted throughout the entire session.Smoke: Average.Buzz: None.Overall: Eh, it was okay. I'm not a huge fan of strawberry by itself just because it's not really that interesting. I like it more than Al Fakher and Al Amir strawberry though.Layalina GrapeAppearance: Reddish brown. Medium-cut. Not too wet.Smell: A weak grape smell.Taste: Similar to the smell. The flavor was fairly weak.Smoke: Average thickness. Too thick for the little amount of flavor.Buzz: None.Overall: The flavor was weak. Pass on this.Layalina OrangeAppearance: Brownish. Medium-cut. Somewhat juicy, somewhat tacky.Smell: Smells like a real orange, specifically orange peels.Taste: Tastes like a real orange, no candy flavor. It's a spot-on orange flavor, there is no guessing at what it might be.Smoke: Above average thickness.Buzz: None.Overall: The best orange flavor I've tried. It has just the right amount of orange flavor to not make it sickening like Al Fakher orange. I see myself buying a 250g pack of this in the future.Layalina LemonAppearance: Tan. Medium-cut. Not as wet as the other Layalina flavors.Smell: A good lemon smell, not overpowering....Taste: Tasted like a weak Lemonhead in the beginning with some tartness. The flavor faded about halfway through. It was good while it lasted.Smoke: Average thickness. It pleased me.Buzz: None.Overall: I liked this by itself while the flavor was strong. I can see it mixing well.---------------------------------------------------------------------Fumari Double AppleAppearance: Red. Very wet, somewhat gritty. Hardly any stems.Smell: A subdued anise aroma.Taste: Some anise. It actually tasted a little dry compared to Al Fakher and Al Amir's double apples.Smoke: Very thick. Just a notch below Tangiers.Buzz: None.Overall: I like it, but Al Amir double apple is still my favorite so far.Fumari RoseAppearance: Red. Somewhat wet, somewhat gritty. Hardly any stems.Smell: Smelled like rose water.Taste: A very nice rose flavor, the best I've tried so far. It mixes very well with Fumari double apple (my favorite mix!)Smoke: Very thick.Buzz: None.Overall: This is my favorite rose I've tried. I like to mix it (mainly with double apple). Fumari MelonAppearance: Greenish-tan. Somewhat wet, not too gritty. Longer cut than other Fumari flavors. Smell: Like a sweet melon. Smelled tasty.Taste: A very sweet flavor. I enjoy it, but could see getting tired of it after a while.Smoke: Very thick like the other Fumari flavors.Buzz: None.Overall: A good smoke, but like I said, it could get old.Fumari White PeachAppearance: Greenish-tan like the Fumari melon.Smell: A strong peach aroma. It made my salivate just smelling it.Taste: A great peach flavor. It's somewhat sweet. The flavor was consistent throughout the session.Smoke: Very thick like the other Fumari flavors.Buzz: None.Overall: My favorite standard peach I've tried. I highly recommend this.Fumari Tropical PunchAppearance: Red. Not really gritty. Medium-cut.Smell: Hawaiian Punch.Taste: Tastes like Hawaiian Punch too! A great flavor to try. The flavor was consistent.Smoke: Very thick like the other Fumari flavors.Buzz: None.Overall: I like this flavor a lot. I recommend it if you plan on trying Fumari.---------------------------------------------------------------------Al Amir Triple AppleAppearance: Red. A little gritty like all Al Amir shisha.Smell: A hint of anise with something like a chocolate undertone.Taste: The best way I can describe it is a light double apple flavor with something like chocolate in the background. It's different in a good way.Smoke: Average thickness just like all Al Amir.Buzz: None.Overall: I've wanted to try this for a while. I'm not disappointed with it, but it doesn't do it for me like a double apple flavor. Might be worth checking out in a small amount.---------------------------------------------------------------------Nakhla Double AppleAppearance: Somewhat dry, not too many stems. Cut was typical Nakhla (somewhat coarse).Smell: Anise, as expected.Taste: A solid flavor of anise, but not overpowering. It had a somewhat sweet flavor which I haven't found in other brands of double apple. Flavor was consistent throughout the session.Smoke: Decently thick, but nowhere near as thick as Tangiers or Fumari (which is what I've been smoking lately).Buzz: Mild. Nowhere near the buzz that Nakhla peach has delivered in the past.Overall: This was decent for Nakhla and I mainly tried because of what I've read. I probably won't buy again as there are much better double apples out there.---------------------------------------------------------------------Overall Brand Comments:Layalina: I've smoked Layalina a bit in cafes so I wanted to give it a try for home use. I'd rank it equal to Al Amir for enjoyment. The orange is a new favorite of mine and the best example of orange I've found.Fumari: A great brand of tobacco. Fumari and Tangiers are my two favorite brands; the only problem now is the ridiculous prices at Fumari. I'm not sure it'll be worth it to order another 500g for what they're asking.Al Amir / Nakhla: I've smoked many flavors from these companies and these two new flavors are what I expected from them. I don't buy a lot of either anymore, but I'm trying to increase the number of flavors I've tried from each.

Sonthert
Thanks, AP. That is some dynamic review, man!ES: Its the way things have been for some time. Arak/Raki are ver popular in the Middle East, it is a liquor of anise and brandy. People occasionally break the rules and drink heavily, and love it. Anise is very popular in the Middle East, so somehow, people started adding Arak to their traditional apple flavors and Double Apple was born.
