Johnny_D
So, After my little coal rolling off the Shisha Bowl last night, I am thinking about a coal guard. Like a wind guard... but not!Something like some metal wire mesh that would sitover the bowl and extend up, maybe 1/2 inch?Anyone seen, made or dreamt of anything similar?JD
nuschultz
this might not be too bad of an idea. you could probably use some sort of mesh screening to do it.

gunsboy
My brother made one from metal mesh and some cords, it is pretty nice, you could tie it to the bowl with a hook mechanism and even if you drop the hookah it will stay on as long as the bowl does not break. Someone you can tie tightish at the bottom and creates a funnel upwards to stop the coal rolling out!Any chance of a photo Gunsboy ?JD
PersianPride
If it only rolled off how come the ash tray didn't catch it? In my experiences most carpet burns have occured when ones idiot mate walks right into the hookah tipping the entire hookah over.

PersianPride
So looks like we have a new species of idiot the 'fanning idiot.' Perhaps a distant cousin of the 'walk right into the hookah' idiot

Macho555
Actually, Hookah Company had some bowls like that a while ago, but I think they recently took them off. They had a little fence that went around the bowl...they were mainly for zag smoking I think.

The fenced in section should be filled to the top with tobacco and the coal would go directly on the tobacco but still be above the fence. Very hardcore type of smoking. Sonthert
They make them, we call them rings, they have a flange up and down, the flange fits around a standard bowl and the other flange keeps the charcoal from rolling off.
