Can I Use Some Wine Or Wiskey Bottle For My Mya Qt?

Hi,

 

I have this mya qt and the glass is broken. Can I use some bottle of a wine or whiskey (or something else:))? I hope there is some hookah guruh with some solution.

Openings on those bottles would be too small. I'm sure you could find something to fit, but you just have to make sure it'll make a good seal where the stem goes in. I want to say Ezxen on here used a Mya on a Gatorade bottle or something like that? Either way, the larger opening is what you want.

for wine/liquer bottles you need a smaller stem like hobohookah. Mya stems are way to thick, never heard of the gatorade trick but does sound about the right width.

 

If you want I can always grab you a new base too, they normally run about $12. But then if your going to have to spend money on it why not just grab a whole new pipe. lol

Sounds like Cloud can hook you up on a replacement base.

 

Also, forgot to mention- Be sure to use damp paper towels to ensure a proper seal on whatever appropriate bottle you find, if you do decide to go this route. I don't think you'd be able to ever find a tight seal just using the black rubber gasket that came with your hookah. Wrap the damp paper towels around the bottle opening until the stem fits on snug. With no bowl and no hose on, cap the bowl port and blow into the hose port. Shouldn't be any air leaks.

Oh man...sorry to hear that. I've only ever used mya qts for smoking and have like 3 spare bases. I would have been more than happy to send you one had I been in US, but alas. You could always try the Gatorade thing Chris suggested, or even just get a new base if you don't wanna shell out for a new pipe.

Thanks, I went today to the supermarket. I didnt find Gatorade drink. But I did find another limonade bottle. See pictures below. I am wondering if this is a good bottle or is it to long?

That bottle looks fine. I don't think the tallness is an issue- just so long as you keep the end of the down-stem about an inch submerged in the water you should be good.
