Pavo21
Hey guys so, my elmas hose is closing in on one year of smoking, and ive pretty much only smoked out of my elmas for the whole duration of having it, is there any suggestions on how to clean it? i know water isn't a good idea for it, but should i just hang it up for a while and purchase a new one? I have also only really smoked KP from it in the last like 5-6 months maybe cane mint a couple times. but feels like my hose is semi dirty. come on elder elmas users! Chreees
Go outside and swing it around really really fast! Be sure to make yourself dizzy and pass out- that's how you know you're doing it right! â€On
It's actually really easy to clean an Elmas hose! What I do is sort of hang it up over a door or something, then I blow into it and make saxophone noises (I usually go with George Michael's timeless classic "Careless Whisper"). I haven't had much success with Chris' Indiana Jones method, but whatever works for you! Hope that helps! In all seriousness, though, the only way to clean a Turk hose is to throw it out and get a new one. If you've gotten a solid year of smoking out of it, it's lived a good life, give it the viking death it deserves.
mattarios2
I don't really think there is a way to clean it, best thing to do is to just designate it to one flavor and use it exclusively for that flavor.

wek-sos
Go outside and swing it around really really fast! Be sure to make yourself dizzy and pass out- that's how you know you're doing it right! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Depending on how worn out the hose is, I wouldn't risk that. I received a used Turkish hose and when I spun it around for a cleaning, the metal wire inside snapped. I'm sure it still smokes just fine, but that was a good enough sign it was time to use a different hose. I cleaned my other Elmas hoses with an air compressor. I think it's the only way to get the rust out without potentially damaging the hose. I don't have an air compressor so I bring all of my hoses to my dad's house and he must think I am crazy. Also be sure the air compressor is drained after every use or else you will have rusty water inside your non-washable hose!

Hassouni
I've had Elmas hoses for more than 3 years now and have never got rust out of any of them (I can't say that about my other leather hoses). I don't think there's any need to throw one out, just give it a good blast of air - or keep them dedicated to certain flavors.
Travis
I've been using 4 leather tundra hoses for years now and I've yet to get rust out of any of them.
BjK
The only way to maintain is to let it hang when not in use then blow air trough it. If there is rust u shouldn't use it.
Bawhee
Ive been blowing my hose out after every use and letting it hang between sessions, hasnt really ghosted any flavors (sometimes a flavor lingers for a few sessions but not a big deal). So far Ive had 0 problems with rust or anything of the sort.
mattarios2
Yeah my elmas hoses ... unless I use it daily if you let them air a couple days they end up smelling like nothing. At least that is the case in my experience. I bought an elmas hose off a friend locally and he burned the shit out of mizo cherry (he isn't the best hookah smoker) and it wreaked like cherry, I let it sit for a couple weeks and the scent disappeared. Pavo21
Thanks guys, it just makes things flavorless, but I hang it every night I might get another.
PJCrusader
Yeah I am having the flavorless problem with my Elmas hoses right now. Not too sure why.
Charley
I used to use an air matress pump on my non washable hoses. works pretty well. also would turn it to reverse to get my hoohah going lol.
