BattlePope
Yeah, I already talked to him and he said that he was going to send some out. Don't know when there coming though and I don't want to pester him with anymore questions, he already helped so much. Besides, we'd like to have some grommets in case of emergencies as well. Although thought the bigger bowl might need a little bigger grommet.

BattlePope
Okay, hope it gets here soon. We've been having to use a cut up "Live Strong" band for our replacement grommet.

BattlePope
Didn't break the grommet, my friends maid accidentally through it away. Did some serious dumpster diving for 30 minutes or so but to no avail. I would go with the Funnel Bowl but we smoke nearly every day or every other day and the sessions are usually around an hour or two. I've heard that the Funnel Bowl is too big for every day use. Maybe were doing it wrong since were noobs and all, but we always seem to be able to smoke the MYA bowl for a solid 2 hours and then we usually stop, not because we need to repack the bowl but just because of time.Quick question instead of making a new topic, recently we've been getting some harsh smoke and up until now I was thinking that it was because we had to many coals on but recently was thinking that we may be burning the tobacoo. Did a search and didn't really come up with anything. How do you prevent tobacco from burning? It's not from the shisha actually touching the foil right? Do we just have too much heat? Yeah, our heat management blows... Sorry for all the questions.

[IMG]smileys/smiley19.gif" align="middle" /> Sorry for all the questions.
If you're burning it (which usually has a very distinct flavor), yes, it's too much heat. If you're using whole pieces of charcoal, try breaking them up so that when/if it does burn, you can easily fix the situation. Sometimes you'll put too much coal on in the beginning to get it going, but once the foil and bowl start retaining the heat, you can start to burn the shisha; that's when you might want to pull off 1/4 to 1/3 of the coal you have (or just start with less and deal with thin smoke for ~5 minutes). EvansLight
Id still suggets the tangiers bowl. Yea the large one most sites sell is kinda big, but MNHookah is getting the small ones, you can preorder now. Plus even just having it for when yall want a nice long session makes it worth it, With maybe as much as i pack in the mya bowl, if not less, we had a good 3 hour session, with still some wet left in the bottom. This thing also gets the best flavour possible. As for the harsh smoke, yes having it touch is a better thing. As for too many coals, how many are you using? BattlePope
When we were getting harsh smoke, we were using maybe 2 Roland Quick Lites or 2 inch long "log" coals. From what I've been reading, keep the coals on the outside and slowly move it into the center as it starts to die down. Give it a while to heat up or put on more coals then take some off after it start to heat up. Also, I read Tangiers little write-up about how he packs the bowl a lot and then pokes BIG holes with an oyster fork. Would you recommend this with the MYA bowl? What about packing it to the top? Recommended? As for holes we've just been using a push pin and making a lot as thats what I've seen most people do. Would you recommend we try it with a fork? Thanks guys.
