Pavo, yes. Ditto Ashley's comment about low profile, but even Egyptian bowls are too tall. Something along the lines of a Turkish bowl or Lebanese/Syrian bowl (I could send you one) would be ideal.

Me personally, no. I just use a 4 dollar copper piece I bought at lowes that works perfectly for tangiers bowls on turkish pipes ... not sure why everyone else doesn't do the same.

I know what you mean John, but I still like the idea of not having to mess around with an adapter. I made one out of parts Pavo sent me but still use my Kasbah male phunnel bowl most of the time.

I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but my Kasbah phunnel fell and broke, and resulted in a low-profile bowl:

I hate to say it, but I actually prefer it this way. The Tokel windcover that came with my hookah fits this way as well.

Considering this is the only male phunnel bowl I own, I'd buy another one that is comparable to a Tangiers Pico, Mini, or Small in terms of tobacco usage and appropriate dimensions.

Yeah, I'm with you on the height.  If it's taller than an Egyptian bowl, I probably wouldn't be all that interested.  I say go as low as possible like no neck; straight from the bowl to the part that goes into the stem.

Also 25g-30g of Tangiers would be the capacity I would want.

That's just non sense Chris :-) People love their Syrian pipes and those have an adapter that have to screw on. What's the difference? It is a little metal piece that has tape on the bottom and a grommet on the top and you just plop it right on the pipe and done. They are solid as F. They don't budge or anything, perfect fit. Makes much more sense than buying more bowls.

The difference in the Syrian adapters is that they do screw in and can't fall off.

I wouldn't want an adapter.  I had a female Egyptian bowl jump off of a male pipe the other day.  Just got a bunch of juice on the gasket and slid up.

I'm glad they work for you, but I'd be happy to reduce the number of parts and connections in my set up.

Also, you can never have too many bowls.

PAVO!  While you're at it, do some large Egyptian style heads too.

In all honesty, my broken Kasbah male phunnel is the perfect phunnel for my Turk, or my Syrian if I use my female screw-on bowl adapter. It doesn't really get any better. Only problem is Mark made a limited run of them and I don't think will be making anymore, lol.

John, even though it's stable enough to use, the adapter I made using a Tangiers phunnel isn't AS stable as just using a male phunnel bowl.

What I'm talking about when I say my Syrian screw-on bowl adapter is this:

That's the adapter I have on a Syrian I no longer own. I can use either it or the standard male adapter to fit female bowls that came with my Nawras. So essentially, my Nawras can take both male and female bowls, I just have to swap out the screw-on adapters. On my Turk however, if I want to use a female bowl I have to use my fabbed adapter.

I agree with Ashley- I'd rather not use an adapter to connect a female bowl to a male bowl port if I don't have to.

Apparently you guys as well as I will stay set in our ways, so we will just have to agree to disagree.

The piece I got from the plumming section is literally perfect cost like $3.30 and fits in all of the turkish hookahs I have, you have to pull quite hard to get the thing off. When you add turkish tape to the bottom of it, it creates an amazing seal in the hookah. But no worries, spend more money on bowls :-)

Definitely interested in another male bowl. Count me in.

I have a Crown adapter but I just love male bowls because you tape them to fit the hookah. You would need a grommet to have an adapter to fit every female bowl you own, and then you run into the problem that male bowls solve - juices dripping onto the grommet. I hate tall bowls, and an adapter only adds to the height and adds to a potential catastrophe.

The adapter only sits about half an inch above the port of the hookah.

If you use tape for the adapter, and tape for the top piece of the adapter, it fits every tangiers bowl I have and I have a mini, 2 smalls, 2 smediums, 2 mediums, and a large, different production years for all of them.
