Addison Roberts
So I was looking around the house and saw this glass jar thing my girlfriend bought from an estate sale… I looked at it and thought it might be a really nice homemade hookah vase… Does anyone know of any hookah stems that would fit a 5 1/2 cm vase opening? Anyone know the standard vase openings? It's down stem would have to be a little short but hey I would love to try it! I will post pictures in a second. Chreees
Standard base opening size is 1.75" if I recall correctly.
A Sharrp SYBIAN
Is that a cookie jar?
Bawhee
if you use sports tape instead of a rubber thingy you could probably make it happen just by using a lot of it :P
Addison Roberts
I thought about going to lows or home depot and looking to see if they have rubber orings. I know at least my lowes customizes orings and their sizes so maybe I can have a thick one made. I would like it to look decently nice… The measurement is 2.17 inches or 5.5cm. I will have look. Skoozle
Straight opening of a little over two inches could probably be done with a decent hookah gasket on just about any Egyptian or Syrian hookah. The depth might be an issue, looks like about 6" to the bottom of the container so that might rule out Egyptians but Syrian might have a short enough down stem. Try that Noir you drilled the hose port out of. Then you still might only get an inch or two of water in it. It's going to be unstable as hell. Looks like the base is just about the same 2" as the opening. An o-ring is going to be a pain in the ass unless the top lip of that jar is concave on the inside; then still probably a pain in the ass. Looks like a good 3D print project. You could probably design a really short stem with o-ring fittings for it.
Addison Roberts
I just thought it would be cool to make a vase out of this… Im bored as hell… I hired a tree company to cut the tree's behind my house and they dropped a branch right on my electrical line missing the electric and hitting my cable line… So… I am left sitting here with my iPhone.. iPhone using Tapatalk
Addison Roberts
Is that a cookie jar? Idk what it is.. My girlfriend wanted to use it to hold our change in it but I said " hell no! I am using that as a hookah vase!" I thought it would fit perfectly though and ended up not fitting as I wanted it too…
Bawhee
it does kinda look not tall enough, but maybe you could make it work, though you would possibly need an ultra short down stem...
Chreees
What are the exact measurements, opening diameter and height? It may just work, with the right shank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Addison Roberts
8" tall, 5.5cm (2.2") opening, inside at the middle is about 5.5"….. And I got a free tree cut because they did that haha! The have an intern working and he was the one who screwed it up so I tipped him 100 bucks because he saved me about a thousand and I didn't tell any of the other workers haha! They were all assholes but the guy who accidentally dropped a tree was almost about to ball his eyes out the way boss man was yelling at him… I felt bad lol… I told that kid it was a accident and we will get it taken care of and boss man was still an ass. That pissed me off I won't go threw them again but I will personally hire that kid even though he made a mistake..

I made a mistake and bought my ex a car… She was driving this pos around with her son and I showed up to the house one day with a 2003 jeep liberty that I got at a auction for 2000 and 8 months later broke up… I don't regret it at all cause I would rather see her son in a car that does not shake ar 40 mph or that over heats every 30 minutes… Good karma is the way I look at it.. DrSmokes
Not sure if this has been said but looks like it might be a lil wobbly once you have some weight on it and also depending on the height of the stem.
Addison Roberts
Not sure if this has been said but looks like it might be a lil wobbly once you have some weight on it and also depending on the height of the stem. I tested it with a Chinese hookah and it worked but I did not like the tape look… I need to find a seal that will fit just right.. I tried walmart and target but haven't got to time to try lowes or home depot… Wasn't too wobbly but the hookah I used was only 14in Edited February 1, 2014 by Addison Roberts
Skoozle
Good karma is a currency that will never be devalued. Good for you. That's a solid investment. If you don't get that vase worked out in the next few months, I'll send you a killer gasket. Let me know if you get it done and I'll abandon the quest. I am going to go to lowes tomorrow after I finish this cad file for boeing… Hopefully they will sell me a oring for cheap..
