Anyone Hear About The Potential Ban For Online Tobacco Sales In Cali?

Recommended Posts

If it ever comes to that, I'll start growing my own tobacco and making my own brand.

Me and a friend are in the process of making some of our own tobacco at the moment, on hold atm due to my exams and shit :P

We shall revolt... by making our own tobacco and sticking it to the man!

Or we can all just smoke weed instead since it will be legal and maybe more affordable, and then we can take our high asses up to Capital Hill and tell them what a great job they've done encouraging more people to smoke marijuana instead of tobacco products.

Yes, capitalism at its finest...

Let me know your process and how it ends up turning out for you guys! I have a few recipes I've been meaning to try and a bunch of different flavourings, but I've yet to do anything with it.

Kind of ass forwards isn't it? Lol, you would think that tobacco would encourage the new weed laws, instead the weed laws are coming in while tobacco is being phased out. Wtf sense does that make? None.

Weed is medicinal chris, didnt you know its totally healthy and not at all just about equally as harmful as tobacco! Seriously though, it seems as if people who smoke tobacco products just because they enjoy them are being looked down upon way more than people who smoke weed to get high.

Well, let's be fair here. The MAJORITY of people using tobacco products in America are smoking cigarettes. Anyone here going to argue that cigarettes are fucking awful? You gotta look at it from a government mindset: if 99% of tobacco users are smoking cigarettes, and there is tons of info to back up cigarettes being crap, you're going to move on that, regardless of whether or not it kills the "hobby industry". California isn't nearly on the level that Canada is, hookah lounges here are almost non-existent for two reasons: indoor smoking bans and tobacco taxation. So, you can open a hookah lounge, but you have to jump through tons of legal hoops, meet much stricter air circulation regulations (more air changes per hour are required, this requires the building have a much more expensive ventilation system, from both an onset cost and a running cost) and on top of that, if you want to not charge $50 a bowl just to break even, you sell only herbal stuff. This is all despite the obvious fact that if you walk into a room where people are chain smoking cigarettes vs. an absolute cloud of an uncirculatted hookah den, the differences are noticeable at once, and after the fact for days, weeks and months that cigarettes stink everything up and smell disgusting, to smokers and non-smokers alike. Hookah? Not so much. But, hey, who would use common sense when you can just ban everything in one fell swipe? And if a few die-hards are willing to bite the bullet and jump through the hoops? Hell, a little extra coin in the pocket.

Nobody ever said government regulation made sense. But I've got an idea, I'm going to start a new religion. I'm going to preach the teachings of His Waterbubbliness, I speak of course of my lord and savior Nargile. His ancient ways have helped guide my people into a new era of peace and harmony, but one of our religious requirements is that we must create clouds from our lungs, to help shield our eyes from his brilliance. It's part of our prayer ceremony, you know? We need to have the ability to do that freely and openly, don't you see? IT IS OUR RELIGIOUS RIGHT! AS MANDATED BY THE GOVERNMENT! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREELY PRACTICE OUR BELIEFS WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION!

That's why I hate religion and why I (often) hate the government. It's all a bunch of bureaucratic bullshit.

Chreees I am worried about the ban. If it hits Cali, I will drop my whole savings account on a lifetime supply of Afzal, or I will start working at a hookah lounge :P

Even if I have to pay Texas tobacco tax, it's better than living in Canada or Brazil and paying the prices they pay... Something like $40 for 250g of Tangiers down in Brazil!

Erm, we don't really use those kind of titles. I can bring you in as a Tender Of The Coals though!

Sounds like a lot of work, we need a choir boy equivalent... but with sexy women that are of age. That way we cant get in trouble for after service activities.
