Mya Just Made A Turkish Lookalike! Othmani Hookahs Watch Your Back!

Recommended Posts

Well here is MYA's new lookalike Turk pipe I think it looks better than an Othmani but Still that seem's like a high price for a MYA. It's not bad looking though!

What do the MYA fans here think?

i really like.  Way cheaper than a real turk

Depends what Turk you get. Some Turks w/o the lotus trays are cheaper than this MYA. It's still a nice looking hookah imo possibly the nicest looking Chinese hookah ever made!

There's nothing Turkish looking about that pipe at all.

agreed
I believe it's the "etchings" that they think will make it a Turkish style. I agree is not a true Turkish pipe, how can it be coming from China? But I like the idea I just wish they didn't go half ass with it.

I don't like MYA ports or purges, but  that's a nice looking pipe. Sure, it may not be "Turkish" looking, but it's still pretty darn sexy, especially at that price point. Mush? Think you can get a review of one of these?

Not a fan. I used to own a colossus, read my review.
I don't like mya anything at all after the hose ports started building corrosion and parts locked into place.
I wouldn't call it junk but it could have been better. Still the nicest Chinese hookah ever but still a mya.
In the case of mya you clearly don't get what you pay for, the solid stems are bad ass but the ports are crap. Not my .02, just a fact.

How hard would it be to go back to chrome plated brass ports like they used to have (I think)
Sure they might lose... What? A dollar in profit per pipe sold?
When they're charging as much as they do for their large pipes which aren't made nearly as nice as their small pipes they could afford it. Problem is that they don't have to afford it. They built a reputation based on their older pipes and superior quality which at one point they had. My first hookah was a sand filled no name Egyptian and the only reason it's not still around today is because I broke the vase a long long time ago, before I knew I could buy one online from a reputable dealer.
My point is that at some point mya did what most other companies do and they traded quality for quantity.

Its a nice looking stem, I hate the base. And unfortunately, MYA's quality has been lacking for a couple years now.
