frenchyfam
so as i put my hose in the damn thing just broke... it hasnt touched the outer layer.. basically only the purge is broken. CAN this be fixed? ive tried contacting roi around 7 time to no response contacted 5star with them saying they cant do anything except me reaching out to the company. at this point i might be interested in just parting with it at a very cheap price if you guys do glasswork and can fix it

wek-sos
I know Santino can do repairs, his guy "Poncho Glass" that makes all of the actual hookahs does quality glass repair work too. But they are located states away from you... I'm sure someone local can repair it, do a better job than ROI would. It might not look brand new, but that's your best bet if ROI won't answer the phone. king_lunchb0x
damn that sucks. I don't think their is much the company could do, maybe for a fee they could fix it...but they would have to respond first.a local glass blower might fix it, since epoxy is no bueno. A Sharrp SYBIAN
This is why i will never ever buy a glass hookah! Im sticking to Syrians and maybe get some turks and a regal someday. mattarios2
This is why i will never ever buy a glass hookah! Im sticking to Syrians and maybe get some turks and a regal someday. I just wish they had good, high quality Turkish pipes with Purge Valves! You just love to bring up your opinion that has nothing to do with the threads at hand don't you? We know you hate glass hookahs, but he isn't asking for your opinion on if you like glass hookahs. It is your second time stating your feelings on glass hookahs in this one thread. We know you hate Turkish pipes that don't have a purge, we know you need a purge because you burn your bowls :-) ---------------------- To the OP as wek-sos said, have you tried calling glass shops local to you? I know there are tons of glass shops about 30-40 min from me who could fix that in a few minutes. I would try looking up local glass blowers near you and bring it in to show them. That is your best bet for the cheapest fix IMHO. Or you could just fill the hole with something and not use the purge because ... PURGES AREN'T NECESSARY! :-)

wek-sos
^ curious as well. I would love to see an update if any progression has been made on a repair. i had an Arthookah, same thing happened i used glass glue and now it looks like shit. Just call it a loss. Do you feel that is fully functional despite the looks? I wonder if glass manufacturers could shape the stem like a Regal and build a hose port that sits inside the stem... I'm sure if it cracked, it would be impossible to repair... but the weight of the hose would be spread out to the whole hookah, not just a thin hose port. wek-sos
Gotcha. Hopefully it can be repaired, I doubt it would cost too much. I would try posting up pictures at reddit.com/r/lampwork if you are a Reddit user... Someone local might be on there looking for work. On another note, I have a Colonial Sultan stem that I might be selling next week.

wek-sos
I'll let you know. I bought it for my roommate, now he wants to get rid of it and bought a Regal already. But I'm not sure if he has a sale lined up or not.
Santino
That would be an unbelievably easy repair. I couldn't seeing it cost more than maybe $30-40 for the repair to be done properly, with shipping included. Seeing that you're in Southern California, there are hundreds of glass blowers, some specialize and make their living just doing repairs. I would check around with local shops, and find someone with an in house guy or a contact for a local repair specialist. Another option is searching facebook groups.
