jaredapocalypse
I used to have bigger coals that fit my screen perfectly, but the new ones I got are really small and most of the holes in the screen are left open. Since I've been using these coals, I've gotten less smoke and flavor. I don't have foil and I have no idea what I can do to remedy this. Any ideas? dizzbizz
Where did you hear that you need to cover all of the holes with coal? Pictures would definitely help.

Fouda
I assume he got 40 mm quick lives the first time and then got 33 mm ones the second time
dizzbizz
Touche, that's a good guess. I'd say dump the screen, get HD foil, and then try again. Also, if these are the round QL, try splitting them in half and placing them on opposite sides of the bowl.
wek-sos
I assume he got 40 mm quick lives the first time and then got 33 mm ones the second time Oh wow.. Yeah you definitely want some fresh air flowing into the bowl, to maximize the life of the tobacco and minimize your chance of getting carbon monoxide poisoning.
