shahem
For all of you guys out there, what are your perspectives on hookah tobacco prices? and what is the one criterion affecting your decision on buying a certain kind of hookah tobacco ie. look, price, taste, etc.? Chreees
Doing some research, eh? For me I don't care about looks of it. Just quality and efficiency when it comes to the packaging (i.e. clear plastic sleeves that Tangiers comes in, or the cardboard boxes Nakhla comes in). Metal tins are wasteful. Stuie
Quality, long shelf life. I don't care about packaging, I don't want to pay extra for something fancy (i.e Argelini). Price can become a factor for me. I love my Romman, but I don't buy it as often as I use to because of tightening budgets.
wek-sos
Since I have been smoking for a few years, I have pretty much decided what brands I will and will not smoke. Price and taste are the biggest deciding factors. Put it in a cheap container like a ziplock bag, I will be happier. That will lower the price, and if brands can stop worrying about the packaging, they can use their time wisely to make better flavors. I like Desi Murli because it costs $6 for 300g of the shisha. Packaged in a ziplock bag with a sticker stating what flavor it is, I know I'm not paying for the packaging. Tangiers is packaged nice as well. Unlike Desi Murli, most Tangiers have an infinite unopened shelf life (with the exception of a few flavors that have a 1-2 year shelf life) so I can buy in large quantities and not feel like I need to smoke it by the end of the month. For most other brands with their plastic containers, I can't help but feel like I am paying for the container. All of my shisha goes in a Rubbermaid container, so it's quite an environmental waste when shishas are bagged and then put in a plastic or metal container. I like Al Fakher, but it's packaged pretty stupidly. Plastic wrap over a cardboard box. Inside is plastic wrap over a plastic container. Inside that is a plastic bag. No thank you, drop the price by $1 and I will buy more of your shisha. I do not need any more stupid shisha containers filling up my closet. Hassouni
Tobacco quality in terms of flavor and smoke are the #1, price is #2, packaging is #3. I actually like having tins and whatnot, I've had to buy a lot of tupperware, and often it ghosts...The best such packaging is the Nakhla cans, as far as I'm concerned, or the jars that Nakhla and Salloum and a few others use. However, as I said, that's the lowest priority.
shahem
Doing some research, eh? In fact.... yes I am. The reason: want to establish a shisha plant in canada. Still under studying. We have been providing raw materials and basis to many brands out there. new generation is in charge now and want to go from just being wholesalers to both wholesale and retail....will cut the cost of the middle man which will reflect in about 40% cheaper shisha tobacco prices. So what do you think?!!
