SanguineSolitude
under 60 and under 2ft youre not going to find a good hookah that comes with a case. the qt i think is your best bet. the junior moderns are ok but not great. i mean if youre willing to spend a bit more you could get something like http://www.myasaray.com/store/item.asp?ITE...EPARTMENT_ID=42 which would be nice. ill see if i can find it on a diff retailers site
SanguineSolitude
hmm i dont know anyone who's used this site before but it looks decent. at the bottom of the pagehttp://www.personalizeyourlife.com/Hookah/myaset.html
OPR234
I know 60 isn't a great deal to spend on a hookah, but I only need something small and functional. Whats different about smoking from a short hookah? If I did save up more money, just how much could I realistically spend on a good short hookah? In regards to the QT, what (if any) flaws does it have that would affect my smoking experience from it? Or what traits give it advantages over other short hookahs in the price range? And how hard would it be to find a regular case for it?
SanguineSolitude
small hookahs are often designed with too small of a smoke chamber or are prone to tip over. Now the qt solves this with a big wide base of heavy glass. this increases the smoke chamber size and makes it stable. in addition what makes all myas superior is that they are made of better quality materials and are heavier duty than other brands. cheap hookahs are often cheap for a reason, but thats not true of the qt.the only real problem with the qt is that the vent wont allow the chamber to be cleared fully. but thats really a minor problem and doesnt affect smoke quality or your experience at all imo. what gives it advantage is simply quality of the product and design.did you see the link i sent you above? 74 bucks.(look at the hookah at the bottom of the page) for a nice small mya in a case. if you dont need a case you can get a very nice hookah for 60 bucks
Anpu
The QT is a good hookah from what I've read. The only problem is some have problems with the purge valve jamming up but it can be fixed from what I've read.Honestly, if I were you, I'd REALLY consider spending an extra $15 (c'mon, that's not even half a tank of gas these days and you'll be using this thing a lot) and get the Mya package. You won't be disappointed. http://www.personalizeyourlife.com/Hookah/myaset.html (the one at the bottom of the page, that sanguinesolitud suggested) would be my choice without thinking twice if I was you. OPR234
Yeah that does only cost 15 more bucks to start with, but shipping, coals, accessories, more shisha, and spare parts are going to cost more. The QT from hookah-shisha comes with a bunch of stuff to get me started and comes out right at 60 bucks after shipping.Yes, I am cheap, but im a poor college student, and i havent read any reason why the QT would be a bad idea. I think I'm going for the QT

EvansLight
its not really hard to master, its just that its got its small problems and plus egyptians are just the standard kind of first hookahs, and the best, imo for the first. It was my first, and most of my hookah friends first.
surfpico
I don't know why you all claim you need spend so much to get good hookah. I bought my first egyptian for $32 (that included shipping!) and it's 32inches. And I bought a rotating one that's about the same size for $42 (that included shipping!). I don't think price is the issue - it's where you buy it from. Hookah-Shisha Central has always been very good to me. Where as Social Smoke has been good to a lot of people on here and my friends off of here.If you want something small, I'd suggest the MYA QT. Or you could just buy it for me. Either or. But make sure you buy it straight from MYA, they seem to hook people up like whoa...not to mention the service is fantastic.

SanguineSolitude
surfpico. he specifically asked for under 60 bucks and WITH A HARD CASE. that was what i had the problem with. there arent many good quality cheap hookahs that come with a hard case for that price range. I believe i also made it clear that he could get a very good hookah for 60 bucks without a case.maybe it just me but when someone asks for specific details my suggestions include these details.my first hookah was a socialsmoke egyptian for 50 bucks and i love it .
