critterchops
Is tobacco needed in shisha if it is in a tangiers bowl? I know in a standard bowl you need the molasses to stick to something so the molasses dosent run down the stem but in a tangiers bowl that problem is non existant so why not just use the flavored molasses?? Johnny_D
Tobacco Buzz, Tobacco flavour.JD
EvansLight
yea lets just poor flavored molasses into tangiers funnel bowl and lets get smoking but yea that would just be weird. The tobacco isnt there to just hold the molasses. Its there because thats what your wanting to smoke. The buzz and the flavour, thats what comes from it.Plus i dont think shoving straight molasses with some flavour in it will work all that well
Calcartman
Glycerine is what creates the smoke; so you know... its possible. You'd lose out on the tobacco-ness of it; but wouldn't you still get smoke and flavor?
Sonthert
Great idea. Thats what the phunnel was originally designed for...it didn't work, though. The juice is either to high, boiling, and putting the charcoal out, or its too low and hits weakly. I totally understood what you were saying. Good thinking. Joseph
No holes would mean no air flow, you would just have a vacume, so you couldn't smoke it. Try setting up your hookah, and before putting the coal on put your hand firmly over your bowl and inhale. There should be lots of resistance. Thats what smoking with foil but no holes would be like. This is also a good method for checking for leaks.
Sonthert
Yeah, the problem that occurs in the phunnel heads if too little tobacco is in there would be the same problem, the suction of phunnel hole, yet no holes in the foil above would suck the foil down and seal the phunnel hole.
