Double/Triple Hose - Worth it?

So I am currently debating adding another hookah to my quiver. I currently have a 24" Mya and a 12" Egyptian, both single hose. I'm contemplating buying a double/triple hose hookah for use in social gatherings and other similar situations. I've heard that each user gets less smoke, etc. but is it really worth it to pick one up? I.E. do the people smoking still get an enjoyable experience?

Also, if I decide to pick one up, who makes the cheapest triple hose? Do you get what you pay for?

i think the point of more hoses is so there's less passing, and not so much the fact that everyone hits it at once. as long as you keep the ends plugged when not in use, the draw should be the same

Go with a double. I have a 1,2, and 4 hose. The one is fine in small groups. The double is just great with a bigger group, or if there are 2 of you and want to sit back and not have to pass. My 4 i have drilled out 1 of the autoseals and turned into a 2 hose with a double purge valve.

A tripple is more trouble than it's worth in my opinion.

i agree, i have a four hoser and i was constantly worried at parties about hose tanglage (is that a word) and stuff like that...i have not smoked it since i got my qt...but i tend to smoke with friends that have hookahs too, so there are like 3 going at once (and all qt's..at my reccomendation)

i got a Social Smoke Polaris III, its a 3 hoser and i love it. And i dont kow why people say the people dont get as much smoke. Hell even when 3 of us hit it at once, it still does good hits. Its well worth it and is a damn good hookah. I wouldnt trade big momma for anything

If you can wait about 2 weeks theres about to be a new adition to the family, a 4 hose from hookah-shisha.com Ill review it once i get it. The SS Polaris III isnt the cheapest, but its a nice big hookah, and i love it

personally I find it easier to use a single hose because I find that they work better and if you are using a multiple hose inexperienced smokers tend to forget to plug their hose or smoke simultanously (excuse the spelling) causing a sort of "fight for the smoke" making the smoke less enjoyable

8) I agree with evanslight, i got a 3 hose egyptian pharaoh from hookah-shisha.com I love it, and 3's the magic number, woop woop. I got a pic on my intro, hookamania. I got the genie base blue, cobra hoses i love. It comes with plugs if other hoses are not in use, some people will bitch about the look of the black plugs, i dont know why. well i do, but will hold my temper. I think it is a 30" or close, they have it on hookah-shisha for
99$, the 2 hoser was 89$. The extra 10$ is worth it if a hot chick walks in and you got your best bro and you on it already, but far be it from me not to share my hose with her, hell ill even whip out my other hose and let her hit it, she will choke, but not from the smoke lol.

I have a 4 hose I just bought and its really handy when you have multiple people smoking. You dont have to worry about passing or being called a " hookah hog". The only thing to rememeber about multihose hookahs is the mroe people smoking at once, the faster your bowl will die. So use a bigger bowl or longer lasting prem tobacco when smoking with multiple people.

But if you DO get a muli hose hookah I suggest investing in one with a ball bearing system. The one I have has 4 hose adaptors each with a ball bearing, so you dont have to plug the end when yroue done smoking. it makes a multi hose more pleasurable and more convenient. Also, you can smoke by yourself even with a multi hose, since it works just like a single hose hookah. But if someone comes to join you they can just get ahose, plug in and enjoy the smoke as well.

But if you do get a multihose hookah without a bearing system, you ccan buy the ball bearings at a hardware store or even order them online( I know some hookah sites sell them) and you can just drop them in the hose adaptors and they should sit and clog the hole when no one is smoking that side. And when you inhale the ball bearing should lift up, allowing the smoke to pass through your hose.

Becarefull though, some hookahs like egyptian style hookahs dont have an adaptor that unscrews from the stem, so make sure you get the right size ball bearing and not one too small, other wise it will just fall through into the base or even worse, get stuck inside the stem blocking air flow to the hose.
