Stainless Steel Bowls

Recommended Posts

I got one with my SS Oracle and didn't like it too much. It gets way hot and it was easier to switch back to my clay bowls than to dick around with the heat issue. Not to mention the thing takes like 15 minutes just to cool down enough to be able to touch it after you're done smoking. It does look hella cool on my hookah, tho.

Ridiculously bad idea.

The one thing I can see as a benefit is you could milk your coals longer; and cook the shisha more thoroughly. But once you start burning it, its gonna take a long time to stop!

not worth it. I mean i keep it in case i somehow break all 4 of my other bowls XD whcih, oddly enough, would cause a dead kitty, and god to masturbate a dead kitty XD but other than that it just sits there. The whole bowl gets hot causing your hands some unwanted problems XD so i would suggest just getting a funnel bowl and beaing happy with dat :D

I have one that I use on occassion. The only thing you need to keep in mind is to use less heat with it. It's a nice bowl to have around too because it holds a small amount of tobacco (8-10g) which is perfect for one person. The only brand that I've had it make harsh is Tangiers, but you should have seen that coming ;-)

Agree 100% with Aron.

I've got a metal one i picked up after a fumbling disaster. It gets damned hot. But smokes rather well
to be honest. As with a lot of shisha it's down to heat management.

Mr Parson's hit the nail on the head here.

The metal bowl will 1) heat faster and 2) retain heat longer than most clay bowls, meaning it is easier to burn your shisha. Just be careful and you should be alright.

Ok we used it tonight, and other than the times we smoke too long to the point of really burning the stuff, we actually cooked it all. It was smoke and flavour till the end, and none was wasted. i might actually start using this thing more often XD

I purchased a metal covered clay bowl from H-S Central that works real well. The metal reflects the heat well, and the clay maintains the heat well. I usually get a more complete burn with it, than with my glazed clay bowls.

I definately prefer the metal bowl. Mine hookah came with one but I had a few clay ones laying around. The metal burns much much better mostly if you have a small hokah just for 1 person. 2 coals and packed to the top and it burns completly without having to waste. I've stuck with the metal since then.
Hi,

Thinking about purchasing a stainless steel bowl. Anyone have any experience with them? I've heard they're okay and heat the bowl faster. Any opinions?

Thanks.
Nah, they don't retain heat enough, leaving you with more uncooked sheesha on the bottom. Besides. I have never seena stainless steel piece of equipment available for hookahs. Its plated steel, more likely.

My first hookah (Hookah Brother's Hookah... overpriced but it was a Christmas gift), came with a metal bowl and a pyrex bowl. The metal bowl was definitely harsh. I'm thinking it might be OK for certain shisha but not Nakhla.
