MR Bubble
Hello all. As some of you know, I ordered an Egyptian, double hosed job from smoking-hookah.com a couple weeks ago. It finally arrived yesterday, and as expected, all items came with it. A flawless transaction. However. Just one thing. The hookah's shaft is cracked. The crack circles the shaft in what would be considered a weak area. I talked to Jane, the customer Rep, and she asked me to email her boss, as he wasn't in at the moment. I did, but no reply as of yet. We must remember the place is actually in Israel, so we have a (If I remember right) a 7-hour time difference. I hope this can play out in one of 2 ways: 1. He mails me a new shaft (in good condition) and calls the deal "Good." 2. He immediately sends a new shaft (in good condition) and prepays the shipment of the damaged one in a new carton. This is what I don't want to happen: 1. Expects me to send the hookah back with my own/or his funds only to be looked at THEN a new one sent. 2. Advises me to find compensation through the US Mail. Of course this would be good for them, but bad for the mail, as the box suffered no damage and the glass vase showed up good. I doubt the mail did it. I really think I was sent a broken machine, BUT BY MISTAKE. Of course I will wait patiently and keep you all advised on the matter. After all, I told them in my email I would  . But I do have faith in them expect good things. MR Bubble

PersianPride
I hate to say I told you so but yeah...................i told you so. Without fail they were going to screw up your order one way or another and as my friend said they don't seem to know their ass**** from a hole in the ground. MR Bubble
now understand: they shipped out exactly what I ordered. So the order wasn't really screwed up, and I have ordered from them before without incident. This can happen to anyone if you go through the whole forum. You'll see the same issues with all the major retailers. However, how this gets resolved will label them as good or bad. MR Bubble

Everyone eventually will 'get it wrong' but the key key factor is how it gets resolved. This is the very basic of customer service. And I only shop online at one store now. Why? Customer services. MR Bubble[/quote] Well every time I have ordered from them something has been screwed up. In the past it was some of my 50g samples being the wrong brand or flavour which is nothing to really cry about (in fact some of them turned out to be a blessing.) But the last and final order I got from them resulted in me getting a cheap egyptian hose instead of my premium $20 hose. When I emailed them asking if they can send me the proper hose they tell me that it is now sold out. They then proceeded to offer me the deal wherein I keep the crap hose and get refunded the difference to which I promptly told them to go f*** a pineapple. Now I have to wait 1 month for my hose to come back into stock.
MR Bubble
Your story is minor compared to stories of others from a major retailer (I won't mention names) who was very reluctant to answer emails, phone calls, etc... I'm talking about missing/damaged items. Guess what? They are still highly respected on the forum, and they receive a lot of recommendations. Time will tell. I give all an equal chance. Sonthert
Bubba! Who is it Bubba? If I could tell a couple of stories, real quick. I promise. I recently disposed of four hookahs that I used in the lounge for years. I had purchased them from Xen when they went out of business for $5/shank since they had no jar. Xen had bought them new from a guy who had a bad reputation in some circles. He had charged them a high-fair price, even though their trays were obviously wrong. Upon closer inspection, all 10 were seconds, that is the holes on the lug were backwards, the large hole connecting to the vent, the small hole connecting to the hose port. They smoked OK (a different one, but the same shank I bought for my ex-girlfriend smoked much better ( very tall 36" Syrian hookah)). How did this guy get a hold of 10 rejects? Obviously, he bought them as rejects, probably for a greatly reduced price, but definitely sold them as first quality merchandise. If a particular company seems to only sell seconds, its possible they buy them as seconds or get stiffed with seconds. Either way, make sure the prices are worth it. I have no idea one way or the other, but PersianPride seems like a pretty knowledgable fellow...he may be on to something here.

MR Bubble
Okay, just got an email from him. I had chatted with Jane again and she assured me that he was aware of it and wanted to make it right. Yesterday (Saturday) was the Jewish Sabbath, so he contacted me today. He is going to send me a new shaft. Of course, being the good consumer I am, I'm offering to send him the old one back, or some residue of it upon its demise. I think I'll have a good experience with them. MR Bubble Oops, I mean MR Soap
