Lakemonster
Wondered if there were any other RC nuts here. I recently got into it..... and its beginning to be like crack. I started off with the helicopter in my sig line (Blade CX) and just a few weeks ago bought a 1/8th scale A-frame buggy with a .26 big block nitro engine. The damn thing does 54mph. its nucking futs. I went to a race last weekend.... mostly some of the little 1/10 scale touring cars with .12 nitros.... they will get it tho. Was my first experience, rather cool. The heli is a fun thing... takes a while to get the hang of it... broke more blades than I cared to learning..... but Im on it now. Its pretty neat taking it out to a public place and folks stop to watch....come up and ask about it. One of thee days Im going to get an Align T-Rex chopper..... so I can do advanced maneuvers.... wish the gas powered helis werent so damn spendy. Anybody rock the RC? Lakemonster
Yeah....those things are pretty sweet to watch..... never operated one myself. There are better ones out there..... The transmitter for the Airhogs brand is shit. Theres some on eBay.... they run around $139 or so.... Walkera is an OK brand too. Find one with a good radio and a BRUSHLESS MOTOR. HAHkoo
i've been in R/C scene for a while. and i used to race 1/10 scale trucks like the most popular T-MAXX and its addicting, but is a damn expensive hobby to get into. Nitro fuel is also damn expensive $25+ for a gallon.
gumonshoe
Used to fly R/C nitro powered planes but being a university student sorta puts a wrench in the works for that (no more money and time)

ryno
Only r/c i ever got really into was those Xmods from Radioshack. I also have a Micro RS4 sitting around that just needs the front in end fixed. It has a 540 motor and 6 cell in it, so its pretty fast
