azcoyote
I just got back last night from a very pleasant trip to San Diego. Got together with MoD around 5 for some top shelf scotch and then we were over to the lounge around six. Let me say from the outset that I felt really welcomed with the open-handed hospitality I received. I was priveleged to get the grand tour of the manufacturing process. We pulled some random bags, weighed them and they were all to the plus side. YOU WILL NEVER BE SHORTED FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. My first taste of the tobacco was Kashmir Peach, a highly aromatic and flavorful one at that. All of the tobaccos are full flavored, unwashed and pack an enourmous nicotine punch. This flavor was on Tang's pipe and after a few minutes I had my own hookah loaded with blueberry. Weather condition were adverse to optimal smoking, as it was raining and cool all evening. Nevertheless, the blueberry smoked well, considering, the flavor very much "in your face." There was a lot left when after an hour or so, I move on to mint. After smoking for almost two hours i was totally done. Ah mint! terrific flavor and it performed better under the humidity than the others I tried that evening. I also got to sample Red Tea and Blackthorn. The loung itself is located in a century-old building which give it a certain decrepit charm. The lovely Erika tends the coals and fills the bowls. There is a great selection of movies, a wide screen TV and good speakers. The service is low key, but attentive. If you get the oportunity to visit, don't pass on it! I purchased five TOWER bowls - two funnel and 3 conventional. It was great to be able to choose the ones that caught my eye from the ample inventory. This is the place to buy bowls. I also bought a kilo of tobacco in four quarter kilo bags. Tang thew in a good number of samples and I also pick up a quantity of coals. I found the prices to be very reasonable. The quality superb and the hospitality second to none. Thank you Tang for a wonderful evening! Hope to see you in AZ on your trip out here! homicidalmaniac
You're lucky! I'm going to make a 4-5 months trip to Vancouver in January. I'm planning to go south just before summer to finish my trip in California, and then head back to Quebec City. I'd love to go to Tang's place. I'll see, cause San Diego is like 1100 miles from Vancouver.

Isn't that more like 6-8 hour drive? I guess 8 for me, but I'm two hours North of you up in Sac Maybe in the future, we could come up with some sort of road trip down south. I could pick you up on my way down, and you could be my navigator. We could just split the gas bill. It would probably be a waste to drive that long and only stay at Eric's lounge for only a couple hours, so I think we should just make ourselves at home in Eric's house and stay a week, and smoke until we're retarded! SHOTGUN COUCH!! Whatda think Eric?

Sonthert
It was a busy weekend for out of towners! Thanks Dan, we really were genuinely glad to meet you...it was good to have a slower night where we could slow down and get to talk. I will be stopping by to see you next week in my trip through AZ. And, DJ Nick also stopped by...always a pleasure to see you and Yasir and the whole crowd. Tell Bobby I was sorry not to see him. I do have Mike's jacket, I taped a sign to it and put it above and to the right of the extra soda boxes, behind the CDs.
