not much flavour

I am quite a newb but have read a lot of posts. I was using my hookah, its really old, and i didnt get much flavour. Does an airtight hookah make that much of a difference? I dont think its airtight. And how much flavour is their really supposed to be? I know thats a hard answer to explain but can you try. I was smokeing al fakher double apple if that makes a difference.

If your hookah isn't airtight, that means outside air is getting into your hookah, and diluting your smoke, thus not giving you the full flavor potential.

Check if your hookah is airtight by covering the top where the bowl normally sits and pulling through your hose. If you are able to still pull air through, then there is a leak somewhere on your hookah. Find it, patch it, and that should help with your flavor to an extent.

Then you have to work on your heat managment, which is the next major factor which can lead to a full, flavorful smoke.

To answer your questions- Yes, an airtight hookah does make that much of a difference. Its hard to say 'how much' flavor there should be, but there should definitly be a distinct, tasty flavor in the smoke. Each flavor is different, but you should at least smell it in the smoke.

Instead of repeating ill just add to whats been said. For the most part amount of flavour is really down to you, your tounge, and your nose. Even with the most flavourful tobacco, if its just not the right flavour theres gonna be one person who finds it dull. each person picks up on flavours diffrently, and picks up diffrent amount of diffrent flavours. So if you get it airtight, and get your heat just right, and still have flavour issues, than try a diffrent flavour, or a diffrent brand.

i made everyhing airtight and it was better. I think i still need to work on my heat management obviously. I used al fakher double apple. It started out ok still not much flavour. Then i added another coal. Golden quicklights i think. It added alot of smoke but not really any flavour. I started to feel really sick after and it stayed for an hour. Kind of an upset stomach feel. I don't really know how much flavour there is supposed to be but i've had better. Sorry it took so long to get back to u guys.
