pauldavis
I have some Tangiers coming in (Passion Fruit) and I want to get it to smoke right, and I have heard that the Golden Japanese coals are the way to go...well...I have Nour finger coals and I saw one person recommend that if you are using these to try to get them down to the size of a Japanese coal... So my question is, could someone who has 'em measure one and let me know?? Thanks
ksblazer
So far I have found Golden Japanese coals to work best best with Tangiers. I just heat up 2 Goldens and have them on oposite sides of each other, and rotate them about every 10 minutes or so. When the the smoke volume goes down it's time to throw on another golden, and put the other 2 goldens that have burnt down the the oposite side and your back to blowing clouds of Tangiers. EvansLight
if i remeber right, there about an inch long, and an inch wide, maybe a lil over an inch, but just a hair over it wont matter if you get exact on it, you just gotta find how much heat works for you and your setup

Sonthert
I wouldn't worry about it, but they are approximately 2.5cmx2.5cm (1"x1"). The problem is, they will burn down to get them to light...I've used natural coals before...you just have to get the hang of it and everything will be OK.
