alyehoud
What's the optimum thing to do with shisha? With cigars, its at the very least it's NICE to age a cigar for 6 months. With time the cigar gets much better, up to about 10 years when it begins to lose flavor. Should I age my shisha some?
yashman19
No need. Simply keep your tobacco in an airtight container, out of direct sunlight, and in a relatively cool-room temp spot. If you do this, your tobacco should have a shelf life of up to 2-4+ years, depending on the brand. And no, hookah tobacco doesn't get better with age like cigars/wine. The point of a humi for cigars is to keep them at a certain humidity or they dry out. Well with hookah tobacco, a good rule of thumb is to keep your tobacco in the closest environment to where you will be smoking. People ask, "should I store my tobacco in the fridge". "Only if you plan on smoking your tobacco in the fridge. You want your hookah tobacco to be relatively the same humidity as your surrounding, not a firm 65-70 like cigars. HookahDuck
I keep my cigars aging at 62% humidity and 71 degrees =). And to answer your question again... No.
oryon1033
Don't do it. I bought some al-waha when I first started smoking hookah, and it was like a year past its expiration date. I don't really know why it was sold to me, but it was partly my fault for not checking the date. Anyway it got me and all my friends sick. I really don't know why but after we smoked it we all felt terrible.

alyehoud
I wonder why aging shisha doesn't work well like aging cigars... You would think that because both are tobacco products they would. Maybe it's the different curing processes.
LUXOR HOOKAHS
What about the refrigerator? I've been told that if you buy several boxes of shisha and won't be smoking them for a while, keep them in the refrigerator and they will stay fresh. I would advise letting the shisha warm up before smoking however.
Skimo
I was about to say that, just let it acclimate before you smoke it
Lakemonster
The reason aging is not feasable for shisha is due to the INGREDIENTS. There are sugars (Honey, Syrups), flavoring and glycerin in there along with the tobacco. These things deteriorate differently than tobacco alone. Its not the tobacco in there that is going to "go bad"
Sonthert
Yeah, the volatile components of the tobacco evaporate from cigars, but are locked in and lost in the liquid of hookah tobacco. Age means alot less.
