Organic Shisha?

Recommended Posts

Are you talking about tobacco-less shisha, as in Soex brand? Or just a brand that doesn't contain any chemicals? If the latter, I'm fairly certain virtually every brand uses artificial flavorings/glycerin in their tobacco to give them the taste, from what I heard from a buddy of mine who manufactures tobacco. Making tobacco with nothing but molasses/fruit/honey doesn't give a good taste, compared to using artifical alternatives.

Someone feel free to correct me on this.
Zaghoul does not have have any honey in it, it has molasses.
sorry! my mistake, thats what i meant!

Either way, thats as close to "organic" or "natural" as anyone can get, and it doesn't make it healthy.

I didnt say it would contain less carcinigans and what not, I am fully aware of the fact that smoking is unhealthy....

I was just simply asking a question didnt tell you my motives. Anyway i would just like to smoke tobacco with the least amount of additives...and you said zaghoul?

Thanks

Zag tastes like tobacco and molasses, Some people really don;t like it. I think tangiers said it tastes like sweaty raisens. Anyways,if you don't want additives then hookah isn;t for you. All flavored shisha has glycerol and flavorings. Or try tombac, thats a traditional hookah tobacco, so no flavorings or glycerol, deffinitley no additives. You can get it from hookahcompany.

Zag? tastes like chewin tobacco.... Red Man.... Beech Nut. ...Levi Garrett

Organic usually refers to how something is grown.. without pesticides or chemical fertilizers and shit.

Luckily, tobacco is a pesticide in itself.... but they are susceptable to a few bugs like Aphids and some Tobacco worms that are like catapillars..... several beetles. Since these guys seem to be some tough bugs..... the tobacco industry has gone under some scrutiny about how the tobacco farmers use strong pesticide to deal with it.

That does worry me a bit.

There may be some other sprays to keep blue mold down..... root rot.. or black shank down (common tobacco diseases)

Santa Fe Natural Tobacco claims to be the only provider of a 100% organic cigarette shag...... I wonder what they do withe their "cutter" leaves? that would be suitable for hookah tobacco.

I know that Santa Fe uses perique tobacco in one of theyre cigarette lines... . and since theres only one perique grower left. he must be growing organic too. That would be a really interesting choice for a hookah tobacco tho.

Not for the most part, in this country, affordably, no. Artificial and natural flavors are the same, for all intents and purposes. I wouldn't really worry about it. Tobacco can't be grown organically, from what I heard. I use kosher, vegetarian glycerine in my tobacco, but that doesn't make up for the other shortcomings.
