Joseph
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is awsome, but I like Mirror Pond Pale Ale better.
Krautle87
Neil youngor rolling stones or warren zevon, etc!
Drinking and smoking sure, I'll pass on Neil Young. I havn't drank and smoked that much, since most of the time I'm either having shisha at home or at a hookah bar, but I've had Guinness, Yuengling, and Dos Equiis with strawberry Nakhla, all great beers on their own, and they worked fine with the shisha. I also don't mind having a bit of Scotch with a cigar once in a while.
Joey32b
2 shots of Jagermeister and half a can of Rockstar over ice is my regular drink. Tanqueray and orange juice is also on my list.

Thepeug
Alcohol and shisha go very well together, at least in my experience. Though I prefer hot peppermint tea over anything else, a 40 of Miller High Life is always a good way to get things started (I'm a cheap bastard; $1.50 for 3.5 beers that don't taste like fermented urine is hard to beat ). ksblazer
So far the best combo I've had was during the summer. I was smoking Havana mint and drinking iced sun tea. Amazingly the Havana mint made my tea taste like mint tea. Rum and coke is my favorite mixed drink, but I have found it to overpower the flavor of shisha that I smoke. toothhookahharp
Man this is awesome. I knew there would be some good hookah/drinkers out there. I am a fan of the sierra nevada. I like the hoppy stuff and of the big breweries out there that has their beer everywhere, it's the hoppiest. Last night I drank just straight brandy while smokin the strawberry I have. This las weekend I had like 6 or 7 JD on the rocks and I had a good ssslllurrrr going on. but i do think you could DEFINITELY get some good wine to totally compliment the tobacco flavor you gots!!!!!! Thats a great thought bruther!
ikellen
I'm a big fan of hot white or green tea's. For the starbucks fans, Tazo calm or Zen are both really good with hookah. Alcohol tends to mess with my hookah buzz. I like to sometimes have a drink afterwards though.
NorthEastSmoker
or boningtons sp?
Bodingtons ... A good english pub style ale.. should be served at almost room temp (50-60 degrees F), poured agressively with a big head and little carbonation. Oh, and Toothhookahharp - Too bad you're on the west coast.. Over here we can get DogFish Head's 120 minute IPA.. that's about as hoppy as you can get commercially. I wonder if i can get that shipped out. Stone brewery out here in san diego county makes a beer called Arrogant Bastard that is one of my favs for sure. Also, I gotta say, I like most of my specialty beers closer to room temp. It brings the flavors out sooo much more. That is NOT including the reg fizzy yellow beers (coors, bud, etc.). Those should be ice cold so you dont taste anything!!!! Thepeug
ugh.. thanks for making me gag at 7:30 in the morning.
haha, as far as 40's go, it's really not that bad. In contrast to something like King Cobra or Steel Reserve, both of which are cheap malt liquor, Miller is an actual beer. Don't get me wrong, though; I'd take a good beer over a Miller any day. Bass Ale, Guiness Stout, and any IPA are my current favorites. I like 'em dark, heavy, and bitter. As a poor college student, I just find that it's easier to spend 50 cents on one cheap beer than $4.00 on a really good one.

Very cool to pour it into a glass and watch it change like Guinness does.

zabens
If anybody can give a good recommendation for something that goes well with Guinness that would be much appreciated. Tonight I had a couple friends over and my friend Toby suggested we try a Mojito with Al Fahker mint. Turned out pretty good but I want something for my Guinness! ghostofdavid

I usually drink Shinerbock but I decided to make something that turned out pretty good. I was smoking some Tangiers Red Tea and thought about long Island Iced Tea, but the fact it does not have tea in took the fun out of that as well as how potent them mofros are. So I decided to make a mixed drink actually using tea. I went to the local asian market and got some green tea (in bags) and I got some white rum and some other stuff. Here is the recipe. Rum (Cap'n Morgan Silver) (add to desired strength) honey (add to desired sweetness) cup light mollasses 5 sprigs of mint 6 oz green tea 2 cinnamon sticks 1 lime 1) Bring a pot of water to a boil. 2) add enough tea to make 1/2 gallon after you add more water later 3) toss in a couple cinnamon sticks 4) toss in a small clump if mint leaves 5) let it go fer about 10 minutes. 6) add a cup of molasses 7) Turn off burner and cover for another 10 minutes to let the mint and cinnamon set in Strain tea into a pitcher making the drinks 1) put 2oz. of rum in a tall glass 2) put 1 tbsp lime 3) put 2 tbsp honey 4) mix the shit out of that to break the honey down 5) add tea and if you have a shaker knock it out, otherwise mix well 6) add ice
Dude, I just totally printed that!!!! Thanks a bunch load.
What is the name to this beloved concoction? Scalliwag Swag ? The Captain's Grog ? !!
