Heba Filter anyone?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone smoke their shisha with a Heba Filter on the end of their stem? I found one in a shop the otherday and bought it. 1) because i like to minimise the impurities/tobacco smoked over a really big session and 2) becuase my boyfriend alway moans about the bubbling noise when we're watchjing a film!

Does anyone know is they really work? I tried it for the first time last night. I dont think it made any difference to my smoke. My smoke seemed a bit harsher than usual, but to be fair I was smoking some old al waha I found and I've been used to al fakher/al amir.

And also..... I know this may sound a bit silly.... but I kinda missed the feel and sound of the bubbles as I took a pull. It felt like I had forgotton to put water in!

Do you think the bubbling is an important part of shisha enjoyment?

I found the filter i tried (unknown maker) reduced both the flavour and the smoke density. If i wanted a healthy hobbie, I wouldn't have picked Hookah.

And personally, now that you mention it, I do think the bubbles are prt of the overall experience...

Heh, I remember I had made a diffuser at one point because everybody was raving about them. I used it for about half a session, before I ripped the thing off. I t just didn't seem right without the bubbling sound.

Yeah, its basically a diffuser with some sort of filter. Probably doesn't do a whole lot...it does make smaller air bubbles in the water which cools the smoke more (smaller/more bubbles = more smoke to water contact.)

EDIT: Check out the "Installation" animation. It reminds me of those illustrations they put on condom wrappers about the...ehm "Installation."
