al fakher authenticity

Recommended Posts

ok so i think ive been ripped off ..... i was at my local mid eastern mart and i bought a 250 gram tub of al fakher golden seal capuccino and when i opened it at home it was not like af at all ... it was sticky dry like nakhla and the smoke was terrible. the tub itself looked like it was cheaply printed on .... so my question is how can you tell if your buying a real tub of af or if its a fake any specific logos / marks to look for ?
Well, For one, I don't thin AF makes a golden Capacinno......

But I dont know, do you have pictures? That would help a lot.
That's what I was thinking, capacinno is just part of their regular line. If you purchased a tub of "golden capacinno" it's probably is fake.

One thing I don't understand is, if you were going to try selling a counterfeit product. Why try selling counterfeit shisha? The stuff isn't that expensive or illegal in the US.

wait.. A few months back AF had labeled all of thier tobacco "golden" when you said "Golden AF" I thought you ment that it was in the square, plastic nicer looking box.

This stuff that you have looks like regualr AF... the consistency looks exactly like AF and the color matches Cap.

I think this is just regular AF and the person you went to is trying to get a few extra bucks because AF started labeling all thier tobacco "Golden"

AF has differnt colored tobaccos... I LOVE AF Cap. That is how it looks. I am almost garentting you that it is not fake. The head is coming from the smoke being very stong... I know a lot of people that hate AF Cap because it gives them a head ache. and that is the normal cut of AF

That's most certainly fake

There are fake fakhers going around and for it to be labelled golden fakher means it's most definately fake.

It may smoke etc, but it's not the original al fakher, more like al-fucked up.

Just random companies tryin to cash in on the fakher name. It's still tobacco but not the same company.

If you want a break down, here it is

1) Fakher do not do a golden cappucino
2) Fakher golden series comes in a different box, not the regular container. It's a clear plastic with a hinged cover.

therefore, you have bought something that is fake.

These random fakhers tend to be available in a number of 'unnofficial flavours' because fakher don't make these flavours.

If in doubt, ask here and we'll try to help out.

Texture is not an issue, different fakher flavours have different levels of wetness and/or texture.

I just received my 250g tub of cappacino yesterday and just compared mine to your picture:

The placement of the logo is diffent - mines to the left, and the actualy word cappacino is incorrectly spelled on both our tubs, but theyre spelled wrong different ways. heh.

I'm pretty sure it's fake, just based on my experience dealing with authenticating cigars.

some normal AF tubs and the bags inside do say Golden, then the flavor. I believe there was a company in the US that had Al Fakher as their trademark, so AF put Golden Al Fakher on their normal tubs to bypass being sued.

Holy crap man that tobacco is stem city. :o
As for advice on spotting the fake my advice was going to be don't buy the version that has misspelled 'cappuccino' but from what the other poster has mentioned it seems the real Al Fakher doesn't appear to be able to spell it either.

Check here

This is a uk based Hookah/Shisha company [I do not personally rate them] and they list two kinds of 'Al Fahkir' One copy, one original.

It does appear there are two under the one name?

that 'uk based' shisha company should be strung up by their gonads for their ridiculous prices!

I dont know about the US but where I am in Liverpool (UK) you can only buy fake al fakher locally. Its the most rubbish printing job and inside on the tub it says 'el faker', they can't even spell it right! :D Doesn't smoke bad though, in fact I think better than nahkla. But its definately snide and nothing like the real thing. I think theres loads of blag al fakher about. anything thats popular is going to get copied I reckon.

I agree GingerVD.

However we are both based in the uk and should be used to getting wallet raped. Someone has to pay for blairforceone

Back to the uk shisha. I love nahkla it's fine. But i suspect a lot of the us stuff is far better.

If my health continues to improve i will re-order with hookahcompany.com

its actually not that bad you know, I got the mixed fruit and smoked quite a bit of it. I dont want to upset the nahkla fans (! :D ) but I do think its a touch better. I probably would have thought it was great, but then I went and ordered some real al fakher from the states and so far nothing else has even come close. Am going to visit my aunt in san fransico in a few weeks, and have ordered some havanna, romman, tangiers, sinbad, al qemah, al fakher and al fakher golden seal!!! If the UK people I've been chatting to want to tru a bit of mine I'd be more than happy to send out a bit for my english quality massell deprived brothers & sisters!
