hey pav, give more detail about your shampoo bottle one, or why it didn't work.  Mine works fine, im just having a hard time getting the shampoo smell/taste out of it.  I also wonder about the hole in the bottom, or if there's a certain amount of holes needed.  But my stem is extended with a piece of pvc, thats what the shampoo bottle fits on.

Here is the  rubber filter thing that goes on the bottom of the stem.

Besides cleaning the air going through the water, is this a difusser? Will it work the same as  the metal machined one above. Iknewoctopus deserves a medal, or be shot at dawn if he doesn't mass produce and sell the diffuser he made. Sheeshabum

I would think, and very well may be proven wrong, that a t-shirt would not do it. the holes are so small and so vast that it may not diffuse at all.  It would filter to a degree, but I think the sound would remain virtually the same.  Could be wrong though.  I'm a theologian, not a physicist.

I've spoken with King Mo about where he got the Heba filter. I'm probably going to London this weekend, so will try to see if I can pick up a few whilst down there.  I've been pondering the t-shirt idea more. (It makes for better time than actually working on my thesis).  I have come up with my own idea.  In most grocery stores one can buy one of those food strainers that looks like window screen material- but it safe for boiling water and such. I would think if you could cut a piece out and fashion it to fit over the end - with maybe 1/2 to 3/4" over hang- you might have a decent diffuser. I was thinking of using orthodontists type rubber bands to hold it on.  I won't be able to try it for a month or so (in process of moving back to the US) but I'll try it and let you know- unless an easier method comes forward.

Its been out a while. As a filter, in the water. A guy from Lebanon makes it.This looks like the photo above.  Its great for any one whose religion says "Be Fruitful and Multiply" like Jews, Catholics and......well, I'd better not name the 3rd denomination, they might have a world wide riot.

the pen cap from the Uniball was too small, so I grabbed a sharpie cap (double ended ones) and stuck it in there and melted holes with a paperclip in a spiral pattern.Damn it's stealthy now! I like it a lot.Oh and I was trying Tangiers Chocolate for the first time. mmmmmmmm. It was fansastic. Lotsa flavor! Actually chocolaty!

Thank you, C4r80n. I tried for a long time in vain to actually make a workable chocolate. Its not easy. Some people like it, that's what pleases me most and makes my hours of smoking my own god-awful trial and error mixtures worth while.
