gregorn
I honestly don't understand people who say they don't inhale when they smoke hookah. Not inhaling means youre not bringing it into your lungs, right, so you could only get a very small puff of smoke. What I don't get is when people are blowing out massive amounts of smoke and claiming they "don't inhale".. how is that possible, since in order to get a volume of smoke that great they need to use their lungs..am i confused? what do you guys think? Johnny_D
Mrs Johnny has started tasting the Hookah... Now she can't inhale, so like cigarette smokers she just attempts to pull some some into her mouth. It's not hard to understand! Basically when she pulls there is like...3 bubbles So there ya go JD
yashman19
I knew someone who claimed the same thing, when infact they were pulling on the hose for longer than 5 seconds... But it is possible to inhale without getting smoke into your lungs, sort of... Common practice for pipe/cigar smokers to get more flavor is to slowly bring the smoke into their throat. They are inhaling in a way, but not getting the smoke into their lungs. That is why they are able to "inhale" and still blow smoke out of their nose. Now I have no clue why some people who smoke hookah and take deep breaths with smoke, blow out billowing clouds and claim they arn't inhaling are talking about. Maybe they are just in denial? Hey, whatever makes you sleep at night huh?

Some people just don't know what they're doing I suppose.
Seraph
Like Yash said, I think it's mostly that these people don't really know what they're doing. They're a little.... special.

Johnny_D
/ponders Are you saying, Gregorn, that someone who exhales a shed load of smoke has suggested they are not inhaling?! That's nuts. It's funny how little smoke Mrs JD Takes. But she's asmatic (Please excuse phonetic spelling). JD
EvansLight
for some people also, inhaling is actually inhaling afterwards. you talk to some cigarette smokers and thats what they say. That could be what they mean. Inhaling after you inhale the smoke to your lungs gives your body time to absorb even more nicotine.
gregorn
I was just talking about inhaling into the lungs.. i think inhaling when referred to with cigarettes also means bringing smoke into the lungs rather than taking in air after you take in the smoke.. because obviously not all smokers do that...... i miss smoking
