Giant hookah or table hookah?

Recommended Posts

I would imagine that the table hookah would be hard to clean... there was a discussion about this a looooong time ago, but I don't think you'd be able to find it easily.

And I imagine that it wouldn't be the easiest to smoke out of the giant hookah.... but... with that said... I'm still eventually gonna get the 7 footer :D I think it'd just be nifty and one hell of a show piece... whip it out on special occasions.

I HAD a hookah table. It was the standard type you see most often dvertised. While it looks nice, and COULD smoke if made better. They are not usable pipes. The connections inside are usually crimped, and in my case the collar that held the vase to the bottom of the table was so poorly made that it couldn't be made air tight enough to smoke. I tried everything from paper towels to teflon plumbers tape.

If you want semthing pretty to look at, they are fine, you want something to smoke every so often, forget it.

I have smoked from a hookah table before (I saw it in a well-known whole-sale magazine that was not made available to the public, so I don't know if it'd be fair to name the brand...but ordered), and it was completely functional. The table separated from the hookah, which was just like a regular hookah that sat into the table. Completely functional, but kind of expensive. I think you might be able to do better in making your own table or just buying a nicer coffee side table and putting some pretty hookahs on it for decoration. I wouldn't suggest buying a ginormous hookah because they aren't functional at all. Invest in a few medium-sized hookahs, and put them up as decoration. Just my thoughts...

Thanks for the advice everone! I'm leaning towards the 7 footer. It'll mainly be used for decoration but I'll light it up for special occasions (and right after I get it). I'm still looking at other options (non-hookah related) but I think that would be cool just to have around as a conversation piece.
