The "hookah zone" in my living room is situated on the tile in front of the fireplace. Our cat has learned, through threat of cartoon-inspired violence, that she is not allowed onto the tile when the hookah is out.

This of course, does not stop her from lying along the edge of the tile and looking longingly at the bubbles.

Cats aren't stupid, they simply aren't listening.

I, too, thought you were putting a coal on the cat's head. I'm not much of a cat person (can't really stand them) and even that is too cruel. But once I realised that you were just scratching the cat's head I tought it was a cute photo.

I usually smoke and watch a movie... so my cat jumps up into my lap and just kinda chills. She likes the smell fo the smoke from what I can tell... I've never used the tongs as a scratcher with her... but she usually just plays with them. Esp the other set of tongs that I don't have in the pic... it has one of the little dangly key chain things on it... drives her nuts lol. And yes, she's an all black kitty.
