Any Jasmine recommendations?

Recommended Posts

I know this flavor is not for everyone, but some really enjoy it. I want to try it and was hoping to get some comments from forum members before deciding.

If you have some that you would like to trade, please look at my trading thread:

I have not found a single jasmine I like. I can't remember which brands I've tried (besides AW), but they've all been poop. I think someone here said it best awhile back: "it's like smoking dead old lady".

Layalina Jasmine is the best I've had. Al Waha isn't bad, but nothing like Layalina.

I second the al basha and layalina jasmines. no other brand even comes close. al basha has a slight edge b/c it packs a little more punch, but man that layalina is smoooooooooth. i'm suprised layalina got jasmine right and so many other flavors, eh. stay away from the starbuzz jasmine though, it tastes EXACTLY like fruit loops.

i hate flowery flavored shisha. they make me wanna puke! i did enjoy kashmir peach at one point but for some reason the floral stuff just leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes me wanna stop. but i have wierd taste buds and partially insane!
AW Jasmine isn't too bad, although way too overpowering and flowery by itself..    mixed with a touch of mint and a non-sweet fruit flavor, it's very good
I have used Tangiers lemon blossom the same way, as a condiment, so to speak. I like a subtle floral note with other flavors sometimes. Beyond that it gets soapy for me aswell.
lemon blossom by itself is still great, as florals go.  it's right behind jasmine for my fav flower flavors.
It's flavor is fine by itself, but like all tangiers tobaccos, I get fully buzzed after 15 to 20 minutes. I love the flavors so much it's hard not to overdo it. Right now I'm smoking a "small" phunnel bowl with the first taste of tangiers 77-MF#2:TR!. I picked up a 1/4 kilo at his lounge in San Diego. It's some kind of orange. I think there is something floral about it. I just email him to find out what it is, exactly. Whatever it is, it's damn good.   Now I am floating....

btw, with this post I graduate to Grand Sultan status. Yeah!

I have tried Nakhla peach and sweet melon 50g. packs from Hookah Company a while ago. After that I swore I'd never buy Nakhla anything. Plenty of raw power, and the smoke was pretty raw too. Hit the back of my thoat like a sandstorm. I think I will try this Basha line, and the Layalina too next time I put together an order. Thanks everyone for your input! It was very helpful.

Just in case you return to the thread, be aware that Nakhla's El Basha line is the mellow line. Consider it to be "Ultra Lights" in the shisha world. The Jasmine is quite refreshing on a summer evening.

Just listen to me. I sound like I'm about to go on a shoe shopping spree. Need to get back to being tough.

Thanks for all the input forumites, I picked up some layalina Jasmine and Mint at a local market. I love both flavors, separately and together. I introduced a friend to hookah smoking with this combo and he loved it too. They didn't have Nakhla's El Basha or I would have tried it too. I did pick up a pack of AW jasmine (they call it "winter flower") but haven't got around to trying it yet.

If you want a natural jasmine taste go with Al Waha. Its like lighting an inscence.

If you want something tasty go with layalina jasmine. However I willl add this has almost no jasmine taste but is very sweet with a hint of jasmine.
