Hey guys! Just thought Id show off my first and newly arrived Mya! It arrived last night and thankfully I did not have to pay any customs fees. I like this one waaay better than my old one, for two reasons. First of all, the parts are heavy and high quality. And secondly, the stem is wider at the point where it enters the base, so the draw is really easy.

Currently all I have is Romman Double Apple, which I'm not liking too much. I'm looking into Starbuzz Apple.

Cheers!
So how does it smoke?!
It smokes waaaaay better than the old one. The first thing Ive noticed is how easy it is to pull. Some people like that, some people dont, but so far Im a huge fan of the effortless draw.

I'll have to try out different flavors on it, right now my stock is low and all I have is Romman Double Apple (very depressing). Going to try starbuzz next week.

The last thing I really like about it is that the stem can be broken up into about 3 parts, so its really easy to clean. That, and the fact that I just found out all Mya Hoses are washable.

And on a final note, I've found I've become obsessively paranoid about knocking the thing over, and I don't let anyone near it! Also, when I put it in the sink to wash it out, I make sure the stem and base dont bump against the sides of the sink. Am I crazy?

Thanks, it really is a pleasure to smoke!

On a side note: I tried the "tobacco not touching the foil" last night, and it actually burnt the tobacco entirely, not a single bit of moist left when I was done. The only downsides were that it took so long to get going, and the first couple of puffs were pretty nasty, kind of charcoal tasting, which is strange since I let the quicklights burn for a while.

The second thing I noticed about this technique is that I seem to need to use two coals when the tobacco doesnt touch the foil, almost as if it takes twice the amount of heat to get going.

Are you sure? My Mya hose rusted on the inside...of course I don't think I did it right.

Which coals do you use, btw, since you need two to get it going? I find the big 3kings don't cut it, but there's just not enough room ontop of the bowl for another.

Oh ya?? I have the Mya Leather Cloisonne Hose, and I emailed Mya Customer Service asking if it was washable, and he said "All Mya hoses are washable, just run water through it..."
