Neuromancer
Excuse my English, its not my home language, but i hope you understand what i writeing here OK, to the point. That part of my hookah wheres the hose come out is not airthigt. Ok, i can smoke and i see bubbles when im inhale, but if i blow to hose, then all the smoke dosent come out from air valve, some smoke escapes from hose grommet. (I mean the place where hose grommet yoin the pipe - or the begiing of the metal pipe) How can i fix it? Some kind of shewing cum or something? Thank you. NERV
A leak at the hose grommet should be easy to fix. I would not reccomend chewing gum because the sugar in it can make the wood rot. There are a few good options. You can use Sticky Tack, tightly press it around the openings and it should make a good seal. For the best seal you should take it off and securely reattach before each session, unless the hose hasn't been removed. You can use electrical tape, by wrapping it tightly around the connection it will get the best seal. The bad part is you have to put new tape on each time you take out the hose. You can use thin cloth or a stretched out cotton ball. I have never done this but other people seem to have had good results. Remove the hose and grommet, wrap the cloth or cotton ball around the hose tip or grommet tip, which ever one is leaking. Then firmly reattach it and it should be sealed. I would reccomend the sticky tack because it is reuseable and easily cleaned.
NERV
Oh, and in my description of the sticky tack, when i said 'openings' I meant the connection between the hose and the hookah. After the hose attached put the sticky tack over it. Cheers, I'm 500 posts strong!

piperdown
I had a similar problem. Turned out the hose grommets were too small. If you put the grommet into the hookah and it doesn't fit tightly, larger grommets are the ticket. Try a bowl grommet and see if the fit is better. HookahCulture
Try wrapping some paper napkin around the hose nozzle. Also, give the hose a twist when inserting it forcefully.
