King Mo
na3na3 (na'na') is arabic for mint, so I imagine it's mint leaves. Maybe they call it that in Hebrew too. I personally wouldn't recommend sugar. I remember a mate trying that once to pretty 'Shisha session ending' effect

Yeah Iranians also refer to mint as nana, I don't know what the origins of the word are tho. Hey Heli do you add the nana to any particular flavour? King Mo
Thanks. It's quite popular in the Iranian places I've been to that they put the mint in the base. I personally am never bothered to mess with things, I just want the pure taste of whatever I smoke. Sometimes one likes to be adventurous, but I can't be bothered
steve07
Use lemon juice in the base with ice all the time not much it also helps keep the base clean
PersianPride
Yeah I noticed that in the middle-east they tend to frown on putting anything in the base but natural juices and coke (for the cola flavours) do make a pretty big difference sometimes. I'll usually do it for special gatherings.
