CaliforniaRose
So my boyfriend convinced me to go down to Southern California to his house for Thanksgiving (one of my least favorite holidays). So to cheer me up, he promised to take me out to a hookah bar, the only problem is neither of us has ever been to a hookah bar in California (but DC kicks ass!). So what recomendations do you have for hookah bars? We'll be staying in Diamond Bar (which is close to both Pomona and Riverside) but we are willing to drive a bit. It would great to know which places you recomend, how much a bowl is and what we should order.
BattlePope
There's Habibi's Cafe which is in Westwood. It's not bad but a little expensive. The environment is nice though and right across the street there is the best ice cream place in the world. Can't seem to recall the name of it right now though... Joey32b
There's a place in Riverside called Sumer Cafe. It was pretty cool. They had a belly dancer when I went on a Friday night. Also, I've been to Gypsy Cafe in Westwood (right across from Habibi). It has a nice environment, but the service sucks.

ikellen
If you want to drive to San Diego (a pretty long trip from riverside admittedly), I am a big fan of Zodiak hookah lounge, in the San Diego State area - http://www.zodiakhookahlounge.com. Fumari is a good lounge, but VERY popular, and therefore you can be waiting a while before you get a table. It's also noisy and doesn't have much of a theme to it. Joey32b
I went to Babylon one time and they no longer have hookahs on a regular basis. It is a Mediterranean restaurant and the guy at the front said they only have hookahs on Thursday nights. That was about a year ago. I recommend Sumer Cafe though. Erica
Sumer Cafe isn't bad.... There are a lot of better hookah bars though... whatever you do, don't go to the Hookah bar across the street from Sumer Cafe in the UV... it is HORRID
