King Mo
I love to mix Cherry with Apple. (normally it's a bahraini style, double apple) Tried an Al Fakher single Apple with Al Fakher Cherry, and had a ridiculously strong flavour explosion. It really was tasty stuff. It was like having a baked dessert (like some kind of Cherry/apple pie). Very very rich sweetness about it, so may not be smokeable for too long for those who cannot handle the sweetness, but man was it different. Every time I try a fumari as with my recent order, or any other brand like Amir or Romman, it just reaffirms what a quality tobacco Fakher is. It is just such a smooth experience with longer smoke times. The mix mentioned above though was quite 'wow' inducing, which is not often for me when it comes to smoking a shisha. PersianPride
hey mo I'm having trouble getting flavour from my AF strawberry. Anything unique about the tobacco that I should know about and conduct differently. I'm using a 24" syrian, with one disk of finger charcoal. King Mo
Al Fakher strawberry is a solid strawberry flavour, if you like strawberry, it is very unlikely you would not regard it (AF strawyberry) very highly indeed. If you are getting no flavour, check the tobacco, has it dried out? does it still smell ok? Does your shisha smoke well with other tobaccos? If it does smoke well, then try to fill it like this sprinkle the tobacco in, so you get a nice even spread out coverage in the bowl, stopping with you are practically level with the rim (or a touch lower). There is no problem in having the odd bits protruding, higher than the bowl height, but minimise this (tap down any stray parts sticking out but don't worry too much). Make small holes using a pin over the surface. With the shisha set up give a few puffs and check to see that you are not getting any corrupt flavours from the hose or the pipe being dirty (doing this with the shisha head off makes this clearer). Now the coal. See my post earlier about 'tip with japanese coals'. The first picture shows the natural coals set up in the way which most Shisha Cafes do to get most flavour. It is ideal to recreate this. If you cannot, and need to use those round instant discs or other coals (I have no idea what finger charcoal is), then you need to have it as orange as possible before it touches the foil and ideally should be on the edge and move it around a couple of times whilst smoking until the thing starts. All the fakher flavours in my opinion are very easy to use and produce great smoke (except pineapple which tastes like garbage). There is nothing you should need to do, especially as I imagine in your case, you've made shishas in the past.

I have discovered some slight rusting in my hose lately but in general the flavour was a bit of a let down. I don't think there is anything major in my technique although I have been told that maybe i need to stir all the tobacco around before acquire the amount I wanted. I sort of avioded that since it look juicy enough on the edges. Also the charcoal is essentially natural charcoal in the form of a disk.
King Mo
Hmm, store Fakher in airtight containers, don't leave that stuff exposed to air. I'd certainly mix it up so you get some juicy tobacco in the head. It should be a sweet creamy strawberry taste. Very similar to Havana strawberry which tastes similar, but doesn't last as long. try breaking the disk in half or into 3, and spread more evenly around the bowl perimeter. I don't like strawberry myself, but Fakher is the best strawberry I have tried. The next point may be irrelevent, but I hope it's original faker. I like to buy fakher in 50g batches as you tend to get a nice fresh smoke as it can go off if exposed to air too much. It really affects the taste.
