Are they reliable? My First order that I placed with a US company and I am feeling a little cold & bloody disappointed. Order Placed 31st. Order Accepted 1st (IE:Money applied for and taken) .... Nothing. Emailed over weekend. Nothing. All i wanted to try was some of those japanese coals you boys love and some starbuzz. Looks like I might be waiting a bloody long time. xpimpitox Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 my experience with them was excellent. they had super fast shipping but i live in northern ca and i believed they are based in socal so that may be why. maybe sendin an e-mail over the weekend was why they havent responded, but im sure they will reply first thing monday. i havent heard anything bad from them outside of this. Granted my order was made on the weekend and my emails were also made on the weekend. but my payment hasn't even been approved a yet and its been 2 days and my emails have not been responded to. No-one can have absolute faith in the postal or customs system, but I am an international customer who has used them on many occasions. Give it 2 weeks before you start to sweat. They always tend to get their emails back to me within the day, and I usually get my order within the week. No, of course they don't, they only have about 99% of what they have on the website in stock. If an item is going to be backordered longer, they remove it. If somebody places an order on something they don't have, they notify the person and often send them something free to replace the item that they are out of stock on and give them a full refund on the item they are backordered on. They are usually really very fast filling orders. The inventory control capability isn't too unique, almost every professional shopping cart program has the option. I can't think of any that don't, actually. I'm no software expert, though. Many manufacturers and distributors traditionally take orders on items they believe they are out of stock on because frequently, the suppliers, stock supply or distributors are out of an item as well, which is the reason they don't have it in the first place. They collect back-orders to give incentive to the distributors to resupply themselves. Some people, who don't smoke tobacco, can't switch item a for item b...they just need what they need, so they will wait months for the item to come in. As to your question, xpimpitox, about pipesandcigars.com, I am a traditional pipe smoker as well and they are very well known and respected in the pipe/tobacco industry. JD[/quote] i don't know personally I don't like being treated like a 2nd rate customer just because i live overseas. I'm not sure and MNhookah and clarify this but posting for a international customers requires going to the post office such like a domestic customer. They did contact me a while ago and told me they don't man there office on weekends but still the manager could at least answer emails from his home PC. Edit; also hookahcompany I know you just PMed me I just want you to know I didn't bring this back up for you to see or make a point to you, its just you reminded me about the thread again. During the weekdays, we have an employee who has the sole responsibility of answering emails. You can expect to always get a response within 24 hours if you send us an email during the week. If you send an email to us on the weekend, you can expect to hear back from us on Monday. We ship once a week through the United States Postal Service to international customers. We ship international packages through USPS and not by FedEx, because it allows us to offer much lower rates for our customers.
