LUXOR HOOKAHS
Has anybody else gotten a hold of a bad batch of 3 Kings? I bought a case of the 40mm (Large) instant lights, tried to lite as with the 33mm size (Small) and was disapointed when after a slight bit of flair-up the coal did not lite. Are 40mm's supossed to light very slowly like this?
Macho555
I got a pack of the 33m that were like that. They sizzled a bit, but never fully lit up like they are supposed to. That's alot better than the batch I got recently, where every single coal explodes into shards.
Scalliwag
I have been very lucky and both boxes I have had so far of 3 King 33mm have been good. But if they started blowing up I have a gameplan in place. I will get a tea ball and put a handle on it. Since they are cheap and made from all stainless they would last a long time. Put the coal in it, close it, and light it and it can pop all it wants to without going anywhere. Once the fireworks stop you open it and dump it into your tray and pick it up with your tongs and set it on the bowl. I will make one tonite and give it a try. I will put a thread with results. Scalliwag
They have them for $2 over at a hardware store on the way home. I need to pick something else up there anyways so I will grab one as well while I am there. Hell, I will make a video. Hopefully it won't turn out like the natural coals in the microwave!!! LUXOR HOOKAHS
Has anyone tried the arabic incence burners? I use one all the time for a holding lit coals. They come with a vented lid as well - never used the lid so far but it sounds like maybe I should. Just a thought.
Sonthert
That type would get quite hot...but the kind with the handles wouldn't be...you know, the tea ball on the end on the telescoping handles? Three KIngs get old, especially when left out, near humidity, I think. Also, the more shook up they are, the more gunpowder is shook off.
Guest LondonShisha
Whats a Tea Ball??? Oh, you don't mean a Tea Strainer do you?
