They did not learn their lesson in 2002 when they tried to work with him and he politicied 911 and started that "you're either with us or you're against us" bullshit. Republicans investigated the hell out of Clinton almost the entire time he was in office. Clinton could have farted in an elevator and they would have demanded a stool sample. If they pull off a majority they need to do the oversight the republicans failed to do. They need to put the oil execs under oath and ask them if they manipulated the market. Why did gas prices drop 33% just before the election and just after the Alaskan pipeline was shutdown because of problems. Sure there is less demand after the summer but never to the tune of 33% price drops. Put some of these corrupt bastards in jail and impeach Dubya and we will call it even and then talk bipartisanship. Absolutely no oversight of the executive branch. They pass a bill that over-rules habeus corpus so that if Dubya and Dubya alone labels you an enemy combatant by law he can have you held without access to an attorney or even the light of day until he deems fit if ever and they do not even have to say they are holding you and anyone who says they are holding you can be jailed just like libraries that have to produce books you may have checked out. So no this government does not suck, just those that utterly failed to do their oversight duties and allowed the constitution to be ripped in half by a dildo that cannot even pronounce the word "nuclear". But hopefully after tonite that may change. Just like I never applied at the local hospital to become the next brain surgeon. Dubya has much greater mental deficiencies than just his pronunciation, that was just one point. Some people with less than perfect pronunciation like Dr. Red Duke is incredibly gifted and smart. Bush has never been accused of either except maybe by those with questionable intelligence themselves. So pronouncing "nuclear" is the least of Dubya's problems, it just happens to be a pretty easy target. He applied for the job, he took the job, he failed miserably and management looked the other way. So guess what, the shareholders (us as in U.S.) called a meeting tonite and took a vote and they said that the board of directors was derelect in it's duties. So they replaced most of the board members that were part of the problem. They also reminded them that the next dumbass that comes through that they support will cost them their jobs next time a vote comes around. Now if I was on that new board we would investigate exactly what the executive branch has been doing this whole time or we would be derelect in our duties.
