Mya acrylic

I am so bummed right now. I was smoking from my Mya acrylic hookah last night and something terrible happened. I was using water @ ice in the base like I usually do and it was getting very late. I decided to wash it so I dumped out the water and used hot water to clean it out. I heard a popping sound and the bottom of the base cracked along the seam and it leaks water everywhere! The hookah has had a long life but I am so bummed right now. I used that thing just about every day. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but I'm just putting out a warning. I'm NOT trying to deter anybody from purchasing one of these fabulous hookahs (I'm getting another one exactly like it) I'm just letting everybody know not to use very hot water to clean a very cold acrylic base.

That sucks!! I have never heard of anything like that though......

How cold was the base?

Most anything with ice cold water in it will break if you add hot water to it. Leson lerned sorry about your luck :oops:

yea very cold to very hot is a physics problem waiting to happen XD works the same with glass. This next one start out with room temp or cold water and work it slowly to hot, no more cracking

Yea i cant wait to get my Mya Acrylic from MNHookah, ive heard so much good about them and its one i cant wait to try
