EliteHookah.com
I recently tried using red wine vinegar(sp?) to clean out a hose. It was because I was all out of lemon juice and regular vinegar, but it works really well getting out those sticky flavors like double apple, licorice and others that just seem to inhabit the hose forever. I think it's because the vinegar removed the odor and then the red wine replaced it at the same time. There was a little bit of red wine flavor on the first smoke afterwards, but it was really light and kind of nice compared to stale double apple. If anybody else gets around to trying it, let me know if you get the same results.
steve07
Try a little baking soda and water that always helps me remove foul odors.
Macho555
I actually used malt vinegar once...the malty aftertaste it left was actually okay with Layalina Pear.
