Common Nahklah taste

Recommended Posts

I only smoke Nahklah tobacco at home because its all i can get around here. I was wondering if anyone else noted a common taste in nahklah tobacco. The best way i can describe it is kind of like an after taste of vomit. haha that might have been an exageration, but no matter what flavor i smoke, they all have this sort of nausiating flavor that accompanies the actual flavor. Whenever I go to the hookah bar, this taste is never there. Has anyone else ever felt this way about nahklah?

Maybe it's just your pipe, dude. Esp if it's never there when you go to a hookah bar. It could be your coals as well... or even your hose... I saw that you wash it in the other thread... do you let it completely dry for like a day or so? Is your hose actually washable?

But to answer your question, I don't get that kind of taste with nakhla

Well, I never smoked Nahkla, but I'm going to have to say that if you never get that taste at a bar, and only with your personal stuff, than it would have to be your hookah. o_o; I know I get a weird rancid taste with mine when I dont wash it long enough.

haha I thought it was my hookah at first so i got a new one because i couldnt clean the taste away and it still tasted like poop. Im thinking its how is store the tobacco. when i open a package, I put the opened shisha back in the box and then put the box in a ziplock bag. Could it be that the tobacco is absorbing the shitty cardboard taste or that the cardboard is adding something shitty to the tobacco?

I doubt it, seeing as that's how I keep my boxed tobacco and I don't get the taste. Try switching coals, or get some tobacco from a hookah bar and try that at home. Don't use a different tobacco AND different coals at the same time though, you want to find exactly what is causing the taste and eliminate it

Flavor perceptions will vary from person to person, Bondal. As I pointed out in the immediately preceeding thread, each brand has a specific background flavor associated with the foundation, or how the tobacco is made. If you find it unpleasant, I would suggest trying something else...Al Waha or Romman or a honey based tobacco, for instance.
