Sick of wasting money on shisha...

Recommended Posts

So as the topic states, I am sick of wasting money on shisha. I've tried Al Amir Black Berry, Al Amir Pomegranate, Al Amir Rose, Al Fakher Melon, Nakhla Grape, Nakhla Apricot, Nakhla Two Apple, and Al Waha 5-Star Mix. So far, nothing has done it for me. The flavours aren't strong enough, except the rose. I need some advice for the BEST flavour (strongest) and the BEST brands. I've probably wasted close to $150 on what I would consider "Bad Shisha" so... what to do now? I am getting an order ready from Socialsmoke.com for their Olive Wood Charcoal, and Layalina and Havana brands. If those two brands are good let me know! And if they are bad, let me know that too! I need your advice guys, I'm getting broke and unsatisfied :?

Hey Vinny.

I hear your pain man. I've spent loads of cash on stuff that has landed in the damn bin. The latest being Al Fakher Strawberry.

But i can't believe you havn't found something yet that meets your mark!

Good luck though.

havana apricot is terrific, the strawberry is good too.
layalina mint is one of the best ive tried. layalina raspberry is quite tasty though its like a sweet and tangy raspberry candy and not a realistic flavor.
el basha jasmine is outstanding
al ajamy makes a delicious cherry.

I'm pretty much going for a "Yeah, I can smoke this everyday because its so damn delicious" kinda thing laugh.gif -- I'm sure its out there, just have to seek it out. Maybe I'd be best to invest in one of the "Layalina 10 Pack Samplers" from socialsmoke? That would give me a huge variety of flavours. But as far as that brand, I have no idea how powerful the flavour actually is, so 10 boxes of shisha to waste once again would be heart breaking sad.gif

I'd recommend making a list of all the tobacco you currently have, and exchanging samples with people. That way, you won't break the bank, and you have a better chance of finding something you love

Nakhla manages to squeeze amazing flavor out of their relatively dry tobacco

I recommend any fumari.... all thier flavors are strong. The best being Raspberry or fahkahfakina.

I like most of layalina but they are all pretty sweet. Even flavors like jasmine which have less of a jasmine flavor and just a nice sweetness to it.

Tangiers seems pretty popular but check reviews. I haven't tried any yet.

For a natural flavor I thing Al Waha are pretty good, but I don't know about the smoke.

Stay away from any sultan, Naklah.

Im with cypher on this one, fumari is amazing, all with really strong flavors. I have TONS of fumari and i would be willing to trade some stuff with you, that way before you waste anymore money, you can at least try the stuff. Im not at home right now, so it's not a complete list, but from memory, i do have white peach, cream soda, caramel apple, pina colada, lemon mint, black cherry, blueberry, watermelon etc... out of all of em, i'd recommend blueberry and watermelon the most.

I jumped on the review forums. I'm going to pick up a few 50g Layalina, a few 50g AA (I hear a LOT about the AA Cherry) and maybe a box or 2 of Havana. I'm only picking up samples that got a 8 or above with good smoke and lasting flavour. Hopefully these reviews help laugh.gif

Don't buy Layalina if you want "big" flavor. If you don't want to dive into the high prices of Starbuzz or Fumari (you get what you pay for, although a couple flavors aren't worth it), try Al Fakher for a lot of flavor (I personally don't care for their take on the flavors, but many do). I'd also recommend Tangiers, but you said you're tired of wasting money on tobacco and many people seem to have issues getting the full flavor from Tangiers tobacco.
