ASUSEAN1
So I was looking at mya qt at a local shop and noticed the stem was different thn the mya qt and the mya qt s class. The box was labeled with all of the Mya labels and the hookah was called the QT NARGUILLE. I was looking at the myasaray.com and couldnt find any minis that had this stem. Everything else appeared to be exactly alike inside and out. My friend who owns a hookah bar in the illinois area said he has come across many fake QTs but I don't live there anymore and cant get ahold of him. Is this hookah a fake? Is there any other ways to point out the fakes? Like I said every mya marking is on the hoookah.. even the mya marking on the down stem. Thanks, Sean
ASUSEAN1
oh and by the way the stem had three little humps while the qt has 1 big hump and the s class has the stem that buldges out with three lines in it
DizzyGuy
You know MYA doesn't show all their stems, much less all their products, right?
ASUSEAN1
yeah but I still heard from a friend that there are a lot of fakes out there. Is there any way to tell?

benny
If so its a perfectly legitimate, E Class mya saray QT
ASUSEAN1
yeah thats it. Thanks for the help. But what do the fakes look like?
Lakemonster
Most all of MYAs parts have some sort of tiny MYA logo on the metal parts...... the hoses have them on the collars and the stems have them on the "heart".
benny
for the record. I have a mya as stated as 'fake' it has mya stamped on EVERY part of it, on the stem (between purge valve and hose pluggy thing) it has mya stamped on the tray, and on the screw in part on the stem thats submerged in water. only place i havent seen it written is the vase itself
ASUSEAN1
yea its not hard to put a mya stamp. When i first looked at the hookah I wasnt sure about the stem so i looked at the stamps because I am familiar with them
benny
and you concluded what? That it was a fake, coz u hadn't seen an e class stem before? You're confusing me.
ASUSEAN1
no i concluded i wasnt sure but it seemed to precise to be a fake. Plus you told me about the e class stem and that is it so I guess it wasnt fake. The whole point of this discussion was to see if there was any easy way to tell a fake. Thanks for your help though i appreciate it.
