how to tell if a hose is washable

I have washed my hose since day one; however, looking back i dont think i should have. I tried throwing it onto some carpet to loosen some stuff up inside of it and when rinsed a bunch of little black specks came out. My question is... what can I do to get rid of this stuff... and is my hose washable (its the stock hose that came with a socialsmoke egyptian)..

I would generally say 90% of hose sthat come with hookah's are not washable. They have metal rings inside which can rust if wet. So unless the hose you buy says on the box or package or bag " Washable hose" I wouldnt risk it. Hoses are cheap anyways, like 5 bucks for just a cheap 5 footer, so it shouldnt be a problem. I alwasy replace my hoses every month.

buy a mya wahsable hose. and no yours isnt washable. the "synthetics leather washables" they have on socialsmoke are the mya washables. theyre nice hoses and will last longer since you can wash them out.

Well wait. I remember Social Smoke saying that they are going to stop sending out normal hoses, and start selling all hookahs with washables. I beleive that Caramellene is the one that relayed that message, after they sent her the three free washable hoses? So I guess depending on when you got it, it MAY. Otherwise, they are right, if it isnt specifically mentioned as washable, than its not.

Your hose is not likely to be washable and there is no way to get or stop the rust in a way that would make the hose safeto smoke out of. Buy new hose.

yup buy a new one. The SS Hoses that have come with hookahs arent washable, and in my last talking with Ali i havent heard about that changing anytime soon But it might be so keep your hopes up

For now i agree with everyone, get yourself a Mya. I like the metal tipped one, only $7 and lasts you a good long time
